Chapter 1
I teleported myself to another continent, America to be precise. I appeared outside some grey buildings, hidden behind some flowers and small trees.
A sign across one of the buildings read 'Welcome to the University of Arizona.'
I felt happy that I was finally here, this last few months took a toll on me. At one point I almost gave up, but the thought of never being free, gave me the strenght to continue.
I grabbed the handles of my two suitcases, and dragged them with me towards the building's entrance.
I entered the dormitory, mixing with new and old returning students.
This was my third visit here, I first came for orientation, after receiving my acceptence letter. I enter the elevator, and head towards my room, on the third floor.
It would have been safer, and easier to teleport straight to my room, but I was still a newbie using this ability. Out in the open was better, as I did not want to find myself merge with a wall.
Exiting the elevator, I took out my keys and open the door to my room.
Shuting the door behind me, I rest my suitcases on the floor.I looked around, it wasn't much. The room was painted in a cream colour, with a single window. A double divan bed sat in the right corner, with a wardrobe and dresser next to it. A grey desk with a lamp on it, was in the other corner.
"Where is the chair?" I asked the empty room, deciding to talk to the administrator later about it.
I opened my suitcases and unpacked my clothes, putting everything away. I grabbed my tolietries bag and go into the bathroom. Yes, I had my own student room, with a bathroom. I had requested this, but was told that my name would have to go, on the waiting list.
Luckily for me, I got through in the nick of time, as I did not want to share a room, with second humans.
I was an original human, or first human and was only accustom to my own kind.
All this would change now, as I learn how to interact with them. My entired life was spent in a temple, with only a few elderly women for companion. It was a beautiful structure, high up among the clouds. From my bedroom window I was able to see the huge landmast below me. I was never allowed to go down to the outside below, or to different places, so I ran away.
It had taken alot of planning and research, to devise a foolsproof plan. I had never teleported before, but had seen a few of the elderly women do. I would practice in my room at night, at first I did not go far, just across my room but then I was able to teleport to other areas of the temple. Eventually, I had teleported outside onto our mountain, then further and further, visting different places. I devised my plan and executed it, hopefully with no one the wiser.
I created a clone, out of a strand of my hair. She looked and sounded like me, but had no powers.
Only our creater could bestow powers upon us. My mother had died in childbirth, and I had no other family. I was not sure how long, I had, before he noticed me missing, but only he could find me. I was praying that he would not focus on me, as I had not seen him in ages. Even if he did, he would still feel me, at the temple. If he were to visit the fake me, only then would he realise that it was not me. I was cloaked, but my abilites were no match for his, as only him could locate me.
No one could hide from him, as he was a God.
