Act 3 scene 3

Selena walks into josh office and sees max and Josh's personal assistant organizing files

Max:........no put that here ,( he points at some files on the table) did you schedule Josh's meeting with prime co. yet?

Leo: yes, it's next week Thursday

Max:( he notices Selena) hey pretty lady( he stops and looks at her)

Josh: why do you do this for him?( She points to the files)

Max:i do it when i feel like it ( he moves his shoulders up and down,)oh this is leo , josh's P.A

Leo:oh i know Mrs Selena,she comes around the office pretty often and she's here sometimes when i come around

Selena:how are you leo

Leo: I'm doing good,thank you

Max:when did Brenda leave?

Selena:few days ago ( she walks up to him) max, I Know you're friends with some fashion designers

Max:a lot of them

Selena:did you put in a word for me at Dior?( She smiles)

Max:not that i remember why,did you get a gig?

Selena:yes,( She looks a little dissatisfied) but i find it hard to believe that they'd just hand pick me without asking any questions or auditions

Max;what? aren't you happy about it?( He sits behind the desk and types on the computer keyboard)

Selena:i am

Kendal: you're back ( she walks in)

Selena;hey ( she smiles at her) yes i just got home,do you like your new room?

Kendal; they're not done yet , but it's progressive

Max;is this kid really five, she's pretty mature

Kendal:my teachers say I'm a fast learner thats why im smart

Selena: they're not wrong..........how about i get changed and then I'll give you a tour around the house

Kendal: okay

Max:could you get Josh for me?

Selena:okay( they walk out)

Selena and kendal walk around the garden hand in hand

Kendal:......so what about your parents?..

Selena; my parents are divorced..do you know what that is?

Kendal:no( she shakes her head)

Selena: okay lets just say ,they got seperated

Kendal:so their no married anymore

Selena: exactly

Kendal:are you sad about it

Selena:not really,they got devorced when i was 14 so I'm used to it,besides they still act cook with each other,like friends

Kendal:if they're still friends,why don't they çome back together

Selena:trust me , it's way better this way

Kendal:okay so what about siblings do you have any?

Selena:i do have two younger siblings, they're twins ,karen and mason , they're only 19 tho ,but they're fun to be with ,but they're always fighting

Kendal:mary and rick are twins in my class, they always fight too

Selena:i guess it's a twin thing then( she laughs)

Kendal:did uncle josh plant all these flowers

Selena:with his own hands ,no...but he did pay people to do it( they walk silently for a while) kendal can i ask you something ( kendal nods) do you love your parents?

Kendal:of course I do

Selena:are you closer to your mom or dad

Kendal:i think I'm closer to my mom

Selena:why do you say so

Kendal:my dad isn't always around,and sometimes when he is , he's very busy with his company

Selena:what company ( she looks confused)

Kendal:my grandpa owns an investment company and he wants my father to take over ,but my father doesn't want to,so sometimes they argue about it

Selena:oh..okay ,so does your dad play with you

Kendal:yes ... sometimes he does,and he takes me shopping and gets me ice cream ( she stops walking and looks at Selena)

Selena;what is it( she looks curious)

Kendal: before you came to pick me up ,i heard my father crying in his room ,and he was breaking stuff

Selena:( she puts on a comforting smile) don't worry about it okay?...... you're worried about him( kendal nods)so you don't blame him for anything thats going on

Kendal :no ,i think hes hiding something from us ,his special doctor came by the house ,and he only comes when something bad happens

Selena:okay... I'll ask him about it ( she hids her suspicion behind a smile)come on let's keep going ( they continue walking)

Later that day , Selena walks out of the bathroom in a robe ,josh is sitting on the bed operating his phone and eating chips

Selena:hey josh

Josh:hmm?( He says without paying attention to her)

Selena: I'm thinking right?and I'm wondering.......josh are you listening to me

Josh:if i say yes will you go on?

Selena:(she walks uo to him and hits the phone off his hands to the bed) i think Todd is hiding something

Josh:why should i care what Todd does....

Selena: come on josh

Josh:i thought we agreed that if i help you with his kid we won't have to talk to him

Selena:are you being serious right now?

Josh;yes i am ,sit down let me help you blow your hair ( she sits on the bed and gives him the blow drier from a drawer)

Selena:kendal said he was asking suspicious at home ..

Josh:how( he stands up and blows her wet hair)

Kendal:she said that he would lock himself in the room and break glasses while yelling at ...well the room

Josh:so he's crazy ( he doesn't hid his amusement)

Selena: don't say that

Josh: what else could it be

Selena:i don't know alright,i think I'm going to have to talk with him

Josh:come on Selena ( he stops)

Selena:i just want to know if something's wrong

Josh:(he sighs then continues blowing her hair) i don't want to talk about this right now

Selena:are you okay?

Josh:yeah,i just don't wanna talk about this

Selena:okay then what do you want to talk about

Josh:i want to kiss you ( he stops the blower and Selena freezes then slowly looks at him,josh slowly leans in and kisses her.................................
