Act 3 scene 2

The next day Selena walks into her room ,and josh is laying down on the bed operating his phone

Selena:hey ,good morning ( she closes the door)

Josh:where did you sleep last night ( he looks up to her )

Selena:i stayed with kendal

Josh:okay( he says wierdly)

Selena:are you going to work today

Josh:yeah we have a board meeting by 12

Selena:(checks her phone)its past 12

Josh:i know that ....i hate board meetings

Selena: you're still going to have to go( she walks to the makeup table amd stares at the mirror touching her hair)

Josh:do i

Selena:yes or I'll call your mother and tell her

Josh:how about you call her and tell her im sick..she always believes you

Selena:and why would want to help you

Josh: come on don't be like that

Selena:okay I'll help you ( she turns to him) if you agree to take kendal out for room wallpapers and decorations ( she smiles)

Josh:i suddenly feel like going to a board meeting ( he stands up and walks into the bathroom and Selena laughs)

Later that day the driver takes Selena and kendal to the mall,they walk over to the decor section

Selena:okay tell me if you find anything you like okay

Kendal:okay ( they walk on and on)

Selena:how about this one( she points at a yellow sun flower wallpaper)its pretty cute don't you think

Kendal:its to bright ( she walks straight past it)

Selena:okay,how about that one ( she points at a pink wallpaper with flower petals)

Kendal: to girly( she shakes her head)

Selena points at a lot of different once but ot was either to bold,to hidden,to wide, to small, to pretty ,or to ugly,to plain or to decorated...............this goes on for almost an hour

Kendal:that one( she points and smiles)

Selena:(her eyes widen) are you sure????

Kendal:yeah

Selena;okay then , keep it aside don( she says to the body guard) come on kendal lets go get other stuff ( they keep shopping for the next few hours till 5pm, Selena's phone rings) hello

Akeem:i need you to come to the office now

Selena:whats the problem

Akeem:just hurry( he hangs up)

Selena;( she turns to kendal)kendal ,i gotta go to work alright, we've gotten enough stuff to start off the work , I'll just get the fixer to come and start working on your room now okay?, we'll finish shopping tomorrow

Kendal:okay( she nods)

Selena :josh will be back any minute with max okay?,lets go pay for these( they pay and then the driver takes Selena to her work place , before heading home)

Selena walks into Akeems office,in front of Akeems desk were two men dressed in suit , they seem to ne having a serious conversation

Selena:is there any problem ( she slowly walks in )

Akeem: finally she's here,( he stands up ) Selena Mr Davis and Mr Gale here are representatives from Dior, they want you to model a new outfit

Selena:so there's no problem ( her eyes slack a little)

Akeem : no

Mr Davis:Miss Brown, we want you to know that this is not normally how we operate,we often have a lot of auditions to select our models but ,we think you will be the perfect person for this job,these are all the documents you need ( he hands her an envelope) the deal closes by the end of the week

Mr Gale:this is our company card ( he gives her a card)of course you'll be working with other actresses,and models,its just pictures and videos,but its a different step for your career( they leave)

Akeem:(he smiles and claps)this is amazing right( he moves around in excitement) and to think i didn't even need to lift a finger

Selena:so you didn't place a call? They just happen to want me without even auditioning?..........i find it wierd ( she looks puzzled)

Akeem:we can deal with suspicions later right now you are going to go home ( he collects the card from her hands) and let me handle everything, I'll let you know the schedule........

Back at the villa,max and josh walk into the house,they hear loud noises coming from upstairs

Max:are you fixing something?

Josh: no....i think its the childs room renovation that Selena was talking about ( they walk up the stairs)

Max:i thought her name was kendal

Josh: i thought i didn't care ( he rolls his eyes)

Max;okay ,man if you don't like the father don't pour it out on the girl

Josh: I'm not,i just don't like kids

Max:then im guessing you and Selena don't plan on........( Josh stops abruptly and interrupts him)

Josh: don't even complete it

Max; okay ( he chuckles, they stop at kendals room door and look inside) damn( he chuckles harder and louder with a look of excitement)

Josh: what the hell is this ( the room is covered in a plain thick black wallpaper that has a big crown at the top of the bed, the , curtains, tables, wardrobe and carpet are all black,the doors ,the couch, the bed,and the other little things are white , those are the only colors in the room ,.....the carpenter walks out of the bathroom covered in dust) excuse me ( he calls the carpenter) what is going on here

Carpenter:Mrs Bayer asked me and my guys to set the room just how the girl wants it sir,..we finished most of the work today but well come back for the rest tomorrow ( he goes back in to arrange his stuff ,kendal comes up the stairs)

Kendal: welcome back , uncle josh and uncle max( she says calmy)

Josh: your room looks like a shrine ( he says flattly)

Kendal:i like it that way ,i don't like bright colors

Josh: don't things like this give little kids nightmares?

Kendal:not me

Josh:this is why i don't like kids ,why do they have to be so wierd( he says to himself and rubs his head before walking out)

Max:i actually like it ( he gives her a fist bump) if you wanna out any thing else,call me ( he smiles before following josh)

Selena comes back and goes to her room,josh is sitting on the couch watching TV

Selena:hey ...how was your board meeting ( josh throws a sharp glance at her and she laughs taking off her shoes)sorry.... did the guys come for kendals room?

Josh:that girl is crazy ,have you seen the room ?

Selena:no but i can imagine,i did go shopping with her. .....oh ,do you know anything about Dior looking for models?

Josh:no why

Selena: they personally to my office today to give me a contract ,they want me to model some outfits,its wierd so i thought you had s hand in it

Josh:so when things get wierd i got something to do with it ( he looks at her)

Selena:thats not what i meant okay...... should I take it

Josh: yeah, don't you want to

Selena:i don't know................. where's max

Josh: he's at the office with leo working

Selena:and what are you doing watching tv

Josh:i don't do paperwork darling ( he faces the tv,)

Selena:of course ( she walks to the office)..............
