Act 3 scene 3

After the dinner party for the actors and actresses,selena quickly changes from her dinner gown to a hoodie and sweatpant she gets her stuff and her driver pulls up with the limo at the front of the building,her driver puts her things in the trunk

Todd:hey... Selena (he runs up to her)

Selena:Todd hey( she turns to him)

Todd: your leaving so soon

Selena:yeah i have some stuff I have to handle

Todd:oh ,when will you pick up kendal

Selena:this week,ill let you know when

Todd:okay then .....i guess we'll be in touch

Selena:yeah( she enters the car and leaves)

Back at the villa, Selena arrives at 4:30pm,most of the workers come out to welcome her and take her things in

Mr.bond:Mrs Bayer welcome home

Selena:thank you Mr Bond, where's...

Mr Bond:mr Bayer is in his office ( he smiles as he nods)

Selena:thank you ( she walks to his office,,,, Josh is working on his laptop,he is wearing a danshiki shirt and a white short ,long socks and a sneaker,with his hair down and falling to his back) hey ( she slowly walks in)

Josh: your back already ( he looks up at her) i would have come to pick you up

Selena:its fine,can we talk?

Josh: Yeah ( he stands up and and goes to the couch)

Selena:umm..its about Todd

Josh:what about him( he sits on the couch and she sots beside him)

Selena: I thought I should explain things more to you,....Josh Todd's wofe was involved in a car accident and she became temporarily paralyzed,that day he was driving the car they hd an argument and his mind was not on the road,,..later on the doctors said she was getting better and thats why he was able to come to the shoot without feeling so heavy,but then he got a call that she's in a coma ,and they are not sure of when she will wake up,.. they have a Seven year old daughter who's not so close to him,so he feels like she blames him..., he's just going through a lot and i was trying to help ,i hope you understand

Josh:( he smiles and chuckles) yeah i do ,i have one question tho

Selena: what is it

Josh:why did you have to explain it to me

Selena:you were getting the wrong idea of things and......

Josh:you never really cared before...why do you care what i think( he smirks)

Selena: i see what you're doing.... you're trying to get me to say something and it won't work( she laughs)thanks for understanding,( she reluctantly stands up)

Josh:say it

Selena:what are you talking about ( she smiles nervously)

Josh:you want to say something..say it ( he looks at her)

Selena:do you promise not to over react

Josh: I'll try ( he nods)

Selena:(she sits down again) i told Todd well help him look after kendal for a while

Josh: who's kendal ( he looks confused)

Selena:his daughter

Josh:come on ( he closes his eyes and rubs his head) don't you think that's a little too much,why didn't you ask me first

Selena: I'm sorry but i knew that if i did you'll refuse

Josh:and what makes you think that I won't say no this time

Selena:cause i know you won't you want me to tell him no after I've agreed,i know that Josh Bayer is an a*s who wants people to think his good all round

Josh:( he stares at her for a while then sighs) i don't like kids Selena ( he says in a low tone)

Selena: don't say that , what's gonna happen when we have our kid( she immediately regret yhe sentence as josh's eyes widen at her with a smirk on his face)

Josh: okay,then when will you bring her over

Selena:i didn't mean it like that.....( She struggles to say)

Josh: you're right,i should learn how to be a father... we'll pick her up tomorrow,i hope she's an angel ( he smiles and leaves,, Selena burys her face in her palms)

Later that day, Selena is sitting in the grassy part of the garden, reading a book and sipping a soda

Brenda: hey ( she sits beside Selena and they hug each other)

Selena;you don't know how much I've missed you,,..

Brenda: I've missed you more,trust me ,i called lilly while you were at the shoot we got together and just like i thought she did try to kill me( they laugh)

Selena;you said you were going to yell me why you left like that

Brenda:(she sighs heavily) josh and my father had just died,josh tried his best to handle it as a man ,but ...i couldn't,my mom she acted like she didn't really care,max was away on vacation,josh always tried to use work to get his mind off things,but.....i don't work ,i didn't have a mom to talk to,my brother was always busyamd even my step brother was away,no one seemed to understand me or be there for me at yhat time....., all a had was larry,he tried his best everyday to cheer me up,and for a little while.....it would work but it didn't cure me,i tried to commit suicide a couple of times but for some f****d up reason all my attempts were failing ( the laugh) i used to be very close to my dad that if he were alive he would definitely notice but he wasn't........ after being like that for months i realized that staying in that house any longer would only drive me crazy,i needed to get away,i asked larry to come with me ,and he didn't say no ,matter of fact he made sure i had everything I needed amd more,i decided to stay there till i got better....and now I come home and my mom tells me she doesn't like larry ,( she scoffs) who gives a f**k,he was more of a parent to me when i needed it that she has ever been(she clears her throat) okay ,thats it( she smiles)

Selena:why didn't you talk to me and lilly

Brenda: lilly was on a tour with her boyfriend and you were working on a major banger for your carrier i didn't want to bother

Selena:no matter what b , if you need me,you call me ,okay?

Brenda:(she nods) yeah
