Cursed Objects

There were once two magic wielders that fell in love. The man for the woman’s extraordinary beauty and the woman for the man’s soul. They exchanged hearts and promised to keep it safe.  In their union of love,  they are expecting a child. When the child was born, his wife’s  beauty fell away into their child,  removing every ounce of her beauty to the child.   Dismayed at her wife’s outer appearance the husband left her for a beautiful minx and gave her his wife’s heart.  stripping away her magic. With the fear of one day her son will encounter the same fate, She went to a sorcerer that wields a staff that stems from the roots of hell. Powerful enough to grant her son a spell to fend off shallow love.   The sorcerer declined her request as losing one’s heart is a grave sin and should be cast away. She begged the sorcerer as her child is blessed with beauty as hers and the same, fate might encounter her only child. A wave of sorrow washed over the eyes of sorcerer and pitied the woman. Just this once he will do it not a spell but a Curse.                                                                      To those who look upon your child                                                                                 with eyes of red roses                                                                and a heart that sings of the songs of river                                                                they in turn would be the object they seek.    The boy grew up to be beautiful, as his mother once was. While the young boy was sleeping in the pond the sorcerer’s daughter gazes upon his beauty.   Wanting to take a closer look, she climbed over the fence. Having seen his beauty much closer, she knew it was love. Unaware she was turning into stone Her fixed toes cracked under her shifting weight. As gravity pulled her in, she fell and crashed.   Startled, the sorcerer looked over at the site of the crash and found a broken statue of her daughter. He promised that he would avenge his beloved daughter And bring great suffering to those who have done this to her.   Looking around, he saw the boy he placed a curse upon. Enraged by his daughter’s death and to make matters fair He returned the same curse he cast.                                                                   To those he lays upon his eyes with love                                                                 he would turn them to the object he desires.   Frighten by the sorcerer’s curse he rushed home to find his mother only to find she wasn’t there. Dread set in and the boy sobbed at the thoughts, his mother  turning into an object. The mother heard her crying son and approached him. As he looks at his mother mixed with love, fear and the desire to see her. He turned her into an object, into what the boy feared the most.
