Chapter 17: First Fight
A little monster whose skin is red sneakily left in the Cabhoven Camp at the middle of the night.
Carl left Iris and Gobi, when they were in the disoriented mind because of what happened to her step mother. Carl's heart is thumping after he tells Iris about his deep 'sympathy'. It felt like his chest was burning. It did not hurt instead the burn gave him a comfortable feeling. He checked his status after.

Carl could not believe it. He did not know how he activated his hidden ability. But this is his chance. A chance to grow.
He slyly left the camp unnoticed and remembered the smell of it.
He wandered around in the middle of the night. He felt the wind on his skin. His agile movement let him move in some part of the desert swiftly.
Carl is in ecstasy. It felt like he was riding in the gale. He is holding a wooden stick that he subconsciously got in the camp. He is going to treat it as his weapon.
He stopped running. The desert is so cold but it must be because of the weird constitution of a minion, so that's why he didn't feel cold at all. He swayed the stick. His fast movement cannot be seen by a normal naked eye. This is the special trait of a minion, their agility. Carl keeps dashing around. Forming a flying sand everywhere he ran.
In the middle of his running, he noticed a movement in the ground. It's movement is fast. Like it wanted to compete with Carl in his movement.
Carl stopped his track. He turned back and waited for the thing who was after him.
After a second of waiting, a black one scorpion jumped out from the sand. It's body is 10times bigger compared to Carl's little body. Its black eyes are staring down at Carl's body.
It's small mouth kept moving. Carl read its movement. It is his first time to battle with a monster. Instead of fear, a thrill is boiling down inside him. He thirst for battles.
The scorpion moves its venomous tail. And swiftly hit the ground where Carl is standing. Carl agilely dodge it using his nimble body.
The scorpion became agitated because everytime it tried to hit it, the minion only dodge it easily. The scorpion moves both of its big claws, trying to cut its foe in pieces.
Carl swiftly dash under the scorpion after he saw the scorpion lowered its guard because of agitation. Raising the stick that he was holding he hit the softest part of the huge monsters.

'Damn' The wooden stick broke after he hit it and the most saddened part is his damage.
'What's wrong with my damage?' Remembering his strength stats which is at 50+. He thought that it would at least deal more than 70+ damage because he is holding a weapon.

Carl moved again behind the scorpion and it all happened in just 0.30 second. That is how fast Carl is.
The scorpion walked sideways, its movement didn't fall behind Carl. It immediately raise its guard after Carl dealt his damage to it.
Looking at the Scorpion, Carl creased his eyebrows. The damage he just dealt is not worth mentioning. 'It's defense is so strong.'
Carl deduces that the weakest part of the scorpion is either its belly which is the softest part of its body or its black eyes, which is the most sensitive of it.
Raising his hairless eyebrow, he ready himself to depend on another blow of the scorpion.
The scorpion didn't betray his expectation. Its two claws which like a claw of a crab immediately hit the ground. Carl didn't swiftly dodge. He only moved backwards a little and jumped above its claw. It use its nimble body to dash on the upper part of the monster. Only after a second, he's now in front of the big eyes of the black scorpion.
Smirking, Carl immediately clawed the black eyes of it.

*SSSKKKKKKKK*
The scorpion becomes irritated. It closed its left eye which Carl had been clawed and kept moving faster. It kept swaying its head to make Carl fall but the latter held tightly on its head.
Carl did not want to let this chance go and went after to its right eyes. While holding its head, he gave another clawed to its other eyes.

The scorpion is really agitated. It use its pincers to try and catch Carl but Carl agilely moves. The scorpion accidentally pincer its other claw.

It stops moving. Carl smiled at the suicidal act of the pincer. Its left claw had been cut leaving only its right pincer on its body. He moved back to the ground and checked if the scorpion was still alive. But it is now moving now.
Carl waited for the system to notify him. After a minute of waiting, he still didn't hear the robotic voice of it.
'It still must be alive.' He cautiously dash to the left side of the scorpion and give it a kick.

'I'm right! It's still alive.' Staring at the scorpion unmoving body, he smirked. 'I would not give you time to rest.'
But before he could celebrate his victory. He felt a stab behind his back.

With his strength, he staggerly dash and looked at the scorpion.

The scorpion still didn't move but its tail is still lively swaying. It curled and uncurled its stinger as if intimidating Carl to attack him.
Biting his chapped lips. Carl takes a look at his stats.
