Chapter 16: Heartless

A minion is neither male nor female. This is what Carl learned after two days of living in the camp. His face has a dark shade. After the father and daughter duo talked to each other about the 'wedding ceremony' of him and Gobi. Carl began to have a thought that he is wrong in following the minion in this place. 

Inside the camp, Iris brought him and Gobi everywhere. Carl act dumb and imitate Gobi so others will not arouse suspicioun of him.

Carl felt it again. His nightmare. He wanted to pee. But when he remembered his first peeing, it didn't come out from his male organ but in his female organ. That is why he knew that he does have a female organ too. Remembering that, he is scared. 'I'm a male right?'

Well, he can't go against what he is feeling so he peed. Emotionally exhausted, he looked at Gobi and shivered. 'Is it a he or she?' 

Carl remembered his way. He memorized it and decided that he must level up that night. When they've got home, Dopelin immediately grabs Iris and slaps her face. 

"Krrr... krrrrrrr." Gobi swiftly moves to guard Iris. It bared its fang towards Dopelin. 

Dopelin flinched but didn't cowered. She also bared her fangs towards Gobi. The snake tail began to sprout on her back. And strangled Gobi. 

"Mrs.. Mom, stop!" Iris pleaded. Her red pupil unintentionally became slit. 

Dopelin stared at his red eyes. She let go of Gobi and focused her sight on Iris. Hate and jealousy marked on her charming face. "You! You told you father yesterday night, that I hit you?" She hissed. Her tongue transformed into a snake tongue. 

Iris struggled to get up from the ground. She told her father about the beatings. She doesn't want this kind of mom. She scaredly looked at the face of Dopelin. Her left cheeks are red. A sign that his father hit her. 'Dad believed me.' 

Iris become happy but before she could talked back to her, Dopelin shrill voice echoes their shelter. "Do you think your father will abandon me? Yes, he knows. But what could he do? He already impregnated me. And the child inside me is already a three months old. I will be forever in his life." 

Iris stared unbelievable at Dopelin. "No! Mom just died three months ago. How could dad.."

"Yes! He can. He and I already have an affair behind your mother's back even when she was alive. Why do you think your mom died? It is because of my poison. Your dumb mother trust me Ha ha!" Dopelin's clothes are disoriented, the same as its wearer. 

"You!" Even though she is young, she knows how to get angry. Bat wings appeared on Iris back. Her wings is black and Iris' eyes become blazing red. "You! You are the reason why mom.. why mom.." She used her small body to jump on her. And tried using her claws to scratch her. But Dopelin is stronger than her on a higher level. She immediately subdues Iris. And strangle her using her snake tails. Causing Iris to utter a small cry. 

"Uwwwuuuu.. I will.. tell.. dad.." 

"Hahaha! Do tell him. He already knew it. He just loved me so much that he let me do these things." Dopelin's crazed face looked at the despairing and unbelieving eyes of Iris. 

"No.. dad loved my mom so much.. he can't." Iris is in despair. Her eyes lost the focus. Her bat wings retract from her back and her red pupils become round again. Her eyes dampened. 

Dopelin seeing the scene cause no remorse. She let her go and also retracts her snake tail. She immediately put a loving mother figure and walked to Iris elegantly. 

She crouched down to stare at Iris in the ground. And softly said, "So just die, we are the perfect family here. So please follow your mother in hell."  

Her drools kept falling in the ground. It is like an acid that melts anything it touched. 

Iris' eyes are deadpan. She does not want to believe that her dad who loves her the most will do these despicable things. "No! No! No!"

Dopelin smiled at her, "If you told your father again about this. I will make sure in the future, that you will not have a place in here anymore." She stood up and kicked her. She fixes her rag dress and starts to walk outside. On her way to the door, she stared at the wild goblin who was just behaving itself from the side. Its eyes do not have a focus and only staring mid - air. Like all of what happened earlier is not his business. 

"How dumb." She remarked and went outside. 

Silence reigned inside the camp. Carl is actually shocked. He just saw them transformed into a demon like being. He only watched them as if watching a 3D no 4D movie on the earth. 

Carl didn't pity anyone inside the camp. Although the little loli is cute, he does not have any sort of good feelings inside him. His heart already died a long time ago. His trust is not going to bud anymore. Looking at the despairing loli, he smirked. 'See? Trust can make you a dead man.' 

He walked an intelligible walk to go beside her and crouched. He looked at Iris and smiled, "Krrrrrrrr.... krrrrrrrrrr", 'How is it? Your first taste of sorrow?'

Iris didn't answer back. But she is staring at the wild minion. 

"Krrrrrr.. krrrrrrr" , 'Do you want to revenge?' Carl continued, his smirked is strange. 

Iris little by little began to have a focus. As if she understood Carl's words. The latter knew that she didn't understand him. He widened his smile, "krrrrrrrr, krrrrrrrrr?" 

'Do you wanted to kill them?'

'The one who killed your mother.'

'The one who betrayed your mother.'

'Iris, do you want? Do you want to kill?'

Iris flinched. Carl noticed and he just chuckled "krrrrr...krrrrr", His chuckled was so eerie that Gobi weakly stood up and cowardly looked at him.
