Birdie's POV “It’s taking him a while to get down here, hm?” Luke said, walking toward me and putting both his hands on my waist. I leaned back against the kitchen aisle, looking up into his eyes. “Dad likes his showers,” I explained with a smile, then moved my hands up his chest. Dinner was ready and I had already prepared our plates, but Dad was still upstairs. The shower wasn’t running anymore and he was probably getting dressed. Theo hadn’t arrived yet, so it was just Luke and me. “How are you feeling?” he asked, brushing his thumbs along my waist before wrapping his hands around me and clasping them together at my back. “Fine.
