The Attack

We started to get the cameras in place and Sami started putting the wards up and she even put a ward up on the café. So we were hoping that we were getting prepared for what might be getting ready to happen. Haven came into the café today to help while Sami was putting up the wards. But when she came in she was carrying a letter in her hand.
“Hey Kenzie can you come to the office to talk and I want to show you something. That I just found before I came in here.”
“What’s up? You have something you want to show me. Is it good or bad?”
“I have something I need to show you and to talk to you about.”
“Ok what is it?”
“I got a letter from my half-sister Kat. She says she has always known about me and my life here. Here just read the letter for yourself.”
I took the letter and started to read it.
Dear Haven,
I know you may not know about me, but I have always known about you. Dad told me that mom left me to go have a family with someone else and that I had a half-sister somewhere. When I started learning more about you I also found out the true about how my dad got me. I know he took me from mom and hid till she thought he left the country with me. I also know she has been writing my father in hopes to see me again. I need to talk to you and explain a lot about your history and mine. I know why mom left and didn’t want this for either of us. I also know that the hunters group feels that you are the one to bring balance to our group and the super natural’s. I also know that there are a few of the hunters that don’t want that and would like to see you dead. I don’t want to see you hurt but they want you to give up your friends. If you are anything like what I think you are I already know your answer. I will be there soon.

“Wow is all I can think to say. Do you want to meet her? Do you think this might be a trap? What are you thinking?”
“I have no idea what to think about this. I have no idea what to think. I need to talk to my mom but they are still on the cruise. So I don’t know how to find out what is going on. I want to tell mom that her other daughter contacted me. Plus that she knows the truth about what her dad did to mom. What should I do?”
“Well since you came to the person who hasn’t talk to her brothers or her sister in years. I didn’t even say anything to them when our parents died in that car crash. I am not sure what to tell you. Except if you want to meet her then met her in some place of your choosing. Just make sure it is what you want and you are not doing it to get answer to save all of your friends. I know that sounds like a good thing but just think about it. It also could be a trap. Maybe we should ask someone else what they might think so we can get a better idea. But you really need to go with your heart as well.”
“I do understand what you are saying Kenzie. I see where you are coming from. I will think long and hard about this.”
“Let’s get to work and we can talk more later about this with some other people. We have work to do now. So let’s try and just get through one day at a time and see what we need to do.”
We went back to work and try to just get through it without any more problems. We thought we made it through when Jake came in.
“Hey Kenzie I need you to come with me Adam has been hurt.”
“What happen? How did he get hurt?”
“He was hanging cameras at Dillion’s and ShaSha’s house when he was attack by two hunters. They did it more of a warning right now to let us know that there is more than one here.”
“How bad is he hurt and where is he?”
“We got him back home but they splashed him with holy water and put a cross to his chest. This burned him.”
“Ok I should go to him and be with him through this. Jake stay here and help them through the rest of my shift and part of the next I should be able to come back I hope.”
“Take your time I can handle this for you. Just take care of my brother.”
“Thank you so much.”
“No problems now get going.” Jake said.
I ran to the office to get my coat and to tell Haven what happen and to let her know Jake was going to stay and help out. Then I left to head home to be with Adam.
When I got home I found that there was another note on my door. Grab it and ran over to Adam’s house through the back yard. When I got there Sam was at the back door waiting on me.
“How he was doing.”
“He is stable, but he has been asking for you.”
“Well that’s good can I see him?”
“Sure he has been waiting for you since it happened. He even wanted to stop on the way and get you before I got him here to get him stable.”
“Well I am glad you got him stable before I got here. I would have just been in the way.”
Sam just laughed at this point and showed me where Adam was. I went to sit down on the side of the bed and looked at him.
“Oh Adam what have they done to you?”
“It’s not that bad really. It could have been a lot worse.”
“I guess just don’t understand how they caught you off guard.”
“Well I was on the ladder setting the last of the cameras and Sami and Jake was finishing up the wireless connections and entering the codes in one on the computer and one on the system in the house. So I guess we all thought we were same when the two hunters came from behind and knocked the ladder out from under me. Then they grabbed me and done this to me. The only thing that bothers me is now I am going to have to let one of my brothers protect you while I heal. That I can’t protect you like I am supposed to do. I am your mate for the most part even if it’s not proper yet.”
We will get through this so don’t you worry. I also need to tell you something.” “What do you have to tell me?”
“There were two things that have happened today.”
“What do you mean two things mine was only one?”
“Yeah but Havens was another.”
“What happen to Haven today?”
“She got a letter from her half-sister saying she wants to meet up and talk. That there is some hunter who would like to see Haven died for the fact she could be the one to bring balance to the hunters.”
“What is she going to do?”
“I don’t know yet, she hadn’t made up her mind yet. I told her what I thought and that I also thought she needs to talk to someone else as well. Oh wait before I came over here I seen this note on my door. I haven’t read it yet.”
“Well you better read it so we can see what else is coming our way.”
So I opened up the note and read it aloud: I hope you seen what we did to him. That should show you that you are not safe with him. If you choose to stay with him and you turn you will be next. There is no going back and we can’t let you live. You and your friends need to die to save the world and humanity. Stay away from Adam and his brothers. I would hate to see something happen to a pretty girl like you.
“Wow I think they threaten and complimented me all at the same time. I don’t think I have every had that done before.”
Adam was mad and I could see it in his eyes. Knowing that they threaten me and knew there would be another attack and it could be on my life.
Adam yells. “Sam to get in here now we have trouble.”
“You don’t have to be rude he can ask nicely.”
Then he gives me a look.
“There is no way in hell I’m going to be nice when your life is in danger”
Sam showed up.
“What do you want?”
“Show him the letter and then tell him about Havens letter.”
So I gave Sam the note that I found on my door and then told him what Haven told me of the letter that she got from her half-sister. Sam stands silent for a while and looked like he was thinking of what to do.
“We should gather everyone up and talk about this and all of us take a vote to what we think we should do.”
“I will make some calls and get everyone here tonight.”
