Finding Her

694 Words
Closing my eyes I tried shoving the pain away giving my head a good shake before grabbing my keys and heading out the door. Walking out to my Jeep I nodded to the few wolves that were lingering around the pack house; I wasn't in the mood for any conversations right now. Jumping into to forest green vehicle I gritted my teeth trying my best to keep the damn headache at bay. Shoving my keys in the ignition I started the engine and slammed on the gas speeding away wheels squealing as I speed off towards our new expansion. Anxious to get there I gripped the steering wheel turning my knuckles white as everything blurred past me. reaching my destination I spun wheels doing a 180 and screeching to a halt. Getting out of the jeep I looked around at the desolate surroundings the building looked so lonely as the sat there silently waiting to be brought back to life again. Walking around I thought how nice it would be here when families and pack members started moving in I smiled thinking about it. Heading back to my jeep I thought to myself 'this was one of the best ideas I have had in a while. Leaning against my Jeep arm crossed I watching as the blue F-150 drove up in a cloud of dust pulling to a halt beside the jeep. Ian and my brother Ryan hopped out and walked over. shoving off I started walking giving my brothers shoulder a squeeze as I passed him leading the way to the edge of the tree line. Standing a bit away from each other we stripped putting our clothes in bags that hung from our waists Shifting into my wolf I shook out my grey fur and turned to the others. Ian with his brownish black wolf and Ryan with his jet black fur. Lifting my head I howled turning and running deeper into the woods listening to the leaves and branches crunch underfoot as the others followed close behind me. After a little while, I started to let loose and really feel the breeze run its fingers through my fur. Racing through the trees I let out another howl turning back to look at my beta and brother egging them on to move faster. Picking up the pace we moved deeper into the woods. All of a sudden it hit me the most unbelievable scent, fresh rain and mint, the most delicious high and I was drawn to it like a magnet. I stopped for a second taken in the amazing scent before taking off in search of its source. Moving through the trees it got stronger flooding my senses driving both me and my wolf crazy. The rest of the world seemed to fall away as we made our way out of the thicket and into a small clearing; where I saw the wolves and the source of the wonderful scent. Standing there staring at her for what seemed like hours neither of us able to move much less shift. Finally, I shook my head and shifted grabbing my bag of clothes from my waist and slipping them back on as I slowly made my way towards her. Making my way to her she nodded at the other wolves to stay and shifted taking my breath away forcing me to pause before continuing to her. Oh, she was gorgeous long mated auburn hair that seemed to be the only thing covering her other than a simple locket that hung delicately against her ample chest. Her arms and legs were toned and chiselled with scars, no doubt telling of how she survived the harshness of the forest, with slightly tanned cream skin that just begged me to reach out and run my hands over it. coming to her I noticed she had the most beautiful set of eyes a deep blue with liquid silver eyes that kept me hypnotized as I came to stand before her; Thinking to myself that her eyes looked like ocean waves dusted over with moon dust. All while this was happening my wolf kept screaming 'Mate Mate Mate'
