Lets Go Out

I greet them politely. I am super nice to him and his friends and I even smile my best smile, while bringing them their meals and tickets. After they've finished eating, they usually hang out, for what seems like an eternity. Maybe I should just switch shifts and work with Marli, on nights. Then I wouldn't have to worry about him anymore. I think I'll talk to the manager about it, at the end of my shift this evening. I continued with my work, serving my customers and bussing tables. I even volunteered to help wash the dishes in the back. I needed all this extra work to help me pass through these last few hours. The manager finally had some time to talk, around quitting time. She completely understood, why I wanted to switch up for a while. So she agreed to let me work with Marli for a few months. Thank Goodness! Coming home was such a relief. I've worked myself to death today. My feet are swollen and I feel like a Mac Truck has smacked me head on! Uhh, maybe a shower will help me feel a little better. Just before I was ready to exit the the shower, I heard a knock on my front door. I wasn't expecting anyone! I grabbed my towel and threw it around me and ran to see who it was. Who is it? It's me, Marli. Can I come in? I opened up the door and invited her in. She was squealing with excitement, while looking around the cottage. She started talking so fast, I couldn't keep up. Amy! You've got to go out with me tonight! Is literally, all I could gather from the thousands of other things, she was rambling on about. I don't know Marli, I'm so exhausted from my shift today. My whole body is screaming for my bed. Oh come on, please? Just this one night, she continues to begged. I finally gave in. Fine! But I can't be out too late. I am seriously exhausted. Like, Really Really Exhausted! Yahhhh, Marli squealed! THANK YOU
