Amy and I are ready and heading to the field. Henry is waiting for us to arrive.
We turn down the back road to the field and Amy instantly, starts questioning me.
Why are we going this way?
Isn't this the same road you took, to go to that party?
What are we doing Marli?
I had to assure her that I wasn't taking her to another party and that I was just going back after something I had forgotten the other night.
I'm not sure she believed me, but she stopped questioning me.
A few minutes later, we pull up to the field. It was Amazing!
There were lights and wild roses, everywhere.
Amy's eyes were huge and all she could say was, Wow!
She asked what was going on but I shrugged my shoulders, pretending that I didn't know.
We didn't have the full view until we both walked down the little embankment and right on to the walk way of lights.
I motioned Amy to walk ahead of me.
Even though she was hesitant, she did as I asked.
The closer she got to Henry, the slower she started walking.
I came up beside her for encouragement and whispered, Trust Me, Go On.
She took a deep breath and continued walking.
When she finally approached him, he was down on one knee, holding towards her, a big beautiful, single wild rose.
