Mitchell, Gage and Rey swung by the diner to grab something to eat. It was getting late and I was already there, waiting for Amethyst to finish her shift. It was a 24 hour diner but her shift ends at 11:00pm.
The guys have been great with Amethyst. They all accepted her and treated her no different than the other girls in our circle.
Mitchell spoke up, asking, when do you plan to tell her about our secrets, Henry? The truth about, who we really are?
I just sat there looking at him, not knowing what to say. Rey chimed in, saying that I needed to do it soon. The Crescent Bay Festival is coming up and you know what happens at midnight, that night.
That really hit my heart. They were right, I have to tell her. I've been trying to show Amethyst that she can trust me with anything and she could tell me anything and I would be there for her 100%. But I'm the one that should learn to be more honest. How can I ask her to trust me, when I'm not showing her that very same respect.
I'm not sure if she can handle it though. I mean, my silence alone for all that time freaked her completely out.
She even switched her shifts at work to avoid being anywhere near me!
But they are absolutely right! I have to sit her down and talk with her, but I'll have to wait until after her parents leave this weekend.
Whatever they have to discuss with her, may be a little more than she can handle right now.
At least, that's the vibe I was getting when talking to Mr. Whiley.
Gage interrupted my thoughts when he said, him, Rey and Mitchell were heading out.
Jade, Cayla and Saige, are waiting on them to get back.
(Amethyst)
The guys are sitting in the booth, talking to Henry. They seem to be in a deep conversation. The looks on their faces, tell me it's nothing good. Mitchell, Gage and Rey, left before my shift ended and Henry looked concerned.
Whatever it is, I hope he knows I'm here for him. But maybe he doesn't know that.
I didn't give him the best first impression, when he snuck up on me at the field party.
Maybe he still sees me as this over dramatic girl that couldn't even handle someone speaking, after a month of silence.
Uuhhgg, I think it's time for me to have a serious talk with him.
