Our Connection

She stood there staring at me as I spoke, her eyes wide and focused. She had a look of shock on her face but she didn't seem afraid. I hope she's listening but she appears to be deep in her own thoughts. I paused briefly but she didn't notice, her eyes didn't shift and her expression never changed. After a moment, I called out her name, she didn't move. I called out again, when she finally gave a flinch. She batted her eyes, as if coming out of a trance. She spoke softly, as she apologized. I'm sorry Henry, I'm not sure what's going on. I have the strangest feeling. Amethyst, I wasn't sure you would, but that is our connection you're feeling. A real connection, our connection! That's how I knew I loved you before I met you. Even from across a lake, I felt our connection. And now I'm wondering, if you did too? Wait, what do you mean, even across a lake? So, someone WAS watching me, YOU we're watching me! Connection or no connection, that's an invasion of my privacy! You had No Right! No, No, Amethyst! It wasn't like that. I just happened to come across your path, when I seen you looking out your window. It was at that very moment, I fell for those beautiful green eyes, that were staring at me from the distance. From that night forward, I would leave a wild rose on your windows ledge. I wanted you to know, that I was there. I was hoping that you would be intrigued and try to find out who I was. But instead, it freaked you out and completely backfired. Thank You
