A Complete Makeover

Well, tonight is my party. I'm so nervous.

It was sweet of Henry offering to throw it for me, He really didn't have to.

And everyone else volunteering to help was really nice.

I've never really had a real birthday party. It was usually a few balloons tied to my chair at the dining table & my parents sitting on each side of me, while they waited for me to blow out my candles. It was very small and intimate. Hopefully, this will be similar, minus the candles. That part always made me a little nervous, even with just my parents watching.

I couldn't handle doing that in front of all these stranger's. Having all their eyes on me, is an absolute No Go!

Marli arrived at my house about 3 hours before we actually had to get ready.

She brought a few of the girls with her,

Cayla, Jade, Seige, LeAnn and Page.

They gave me a complete makeover.

I felt like I was at a spa.

Facials, hair masks, a manicure & pedicure, it's a little over the top, but I won't lie, it feels amazing! After all the pampering was finished, they did my makeup and my hair.

Cayla said, they wanted me to look like a princess.

Come on girls, it's just my birthday, don't you think that would be a little much? I said while literally almost biting a hole through my lower lip.

I'm a little freaked out about standing out in the crowd.

Of course it's a little much, Seige replied with a giggle, Don't worry though, it goes with the theme. We'll all be dressed up similar to the theme as well.

See, we brought our dresses as well.

As Page held up the stack of dresses that they brought with them.

If you say so, but I'm still nervous about this whole thing. I never really dress up, at least not to this extent.

Everyone laughed and did their best to reassure me that everything was going to be perfect.

They finished my hair & makeup and then got ready themselves.

They did an amazing job, I didn't even recognize myself in the mirror. I was gorgeous!

After a few minutes, I was brought out of my thoughts when they all came running into my room, squealing and laughing.

They were all dressed up and they each looked like a princess, as promised.

Ok, I feel a little better now.

At least you kept up your end of the bargain, maybe it won't be so awkward after all.
