Nothing Makes Sense

341 Words
I instantly replied, saying, if you knew you were being weird, then why did you continue to be weird, for weeks? His only reply was, I don't know! Any time I'm around you, my voice locks up and my hands get fidgety. my body literally betrays me. Literally! I can't control anything about myself, when you're anywhere near me! I snapped back at him immediately, Wow! So I'm supposed to believe that? Everyone can control their body, unless they're some kind of robot. Are you a robot? No, of course not! He said in reply to my sarcasm. I'm just very much attracted to you. I've never been this attracted to anyone and I just didn't know how to process it. I didn't know how to act around you, without feeling like I would be coming on too strong. I didn't want to scare you away! Well, you definitely were doing a great job at that, by being whatever you were being, all this time! We're all human, so acting human would've been a great start! Don't you think? I could see the gears turning in his head as I replied to his rant. It was like watching a cartoon in action, the ones where, their heads explode. Well, that was him, when he realized that it was literally easier than he had made it all out to be. A simple Hi, at the Diner, would have prevented all this awkwardness, for all these weeks. A simple flipping word, sheesh! It's not just him though. Everyone in this town, seems a little off, in some way or another. And those mysterious wild roses that show up, every single night! Even Mr. Whiley seems a little strange. I just don't see what my parents see here. Why they felt like this town was where I needed to be. If they love this town as much as they claim, then why did they move us to the city, when I was a baby? Nothing is adding up and it definitely doesn't make sense!
