* * * * My editor Georgina and I met at a coffee shop the next day. She was looking pristine as usual. She was wearing high heels, dress pants, and a flowing white shirt with a gold necklace. I had made a bit more of an effort with my appearance than usual to impress her. It worked, thankfully. As soon as she saw me approaching, she stood up and exclaimed, “Wow! You look great!” “Thanks,” I said as I took a seat. I had picked up a striped romper from a*****e a little above my paygrade, but figured it was worth it to make a good impression. “I’ve been keeping an eye on our fashion column and thought I’d try out the whole romper look.” “It looks great on you!” she said.
