Momma said I ain't acting like a son cuz im getting momma you ain't giving me none.

" Hey ma." I said giving her a hug.

" Bout damn time you came to see me."

" Ma , you know I be working."

" yea more like trynna get yo ass killed." She said rolling her eyes.

" ma I ain't bout to argue with you about this."

" yea whatever , where's your brother?" She said referring to marco.

" he said he was on his way here."

" you know he following yo dumb ass foot steps."

I just shook my head. Every time I come over here she blames me for the way marcos acting. Marcos 15 and act like he's grown. I don't have nothing to do with the way he acts.

" momma i'm home." Marco said coming in the kitchen and hugging her.

" hey baby." She said kissing his cheek. I rolled my eyes at the affection she was showing him.

" what's up bro." He said patting my shoulder.

" Just get to the point marco."

" What point?" Moms said raising an eyebrow.

" Nothing momma." Marco said with a chuckle. He gave me a look that said be quite.

" Ma , me and micheal need to talk brother to brother." Marco said. Moms rolled her eyes and walked out the kitchen.

" man why you trynna get me in trouble." He said when moms was gone.

" cut the bull s**t marco." I said already ready to go.

" Alright man." He said sitting across from me. " After school today , I meet up with vick and rocky. They was talking about how this new gang was looking for members , rocky said that the gang leader was a beast and he did damage down in atlanta. So we went to the gang leader and he told us that he would pay us 3gs each if we took some drugs to this dude , vick and rocky said yea but I wasn't really with it but i said i'll just ride. When we got there it wasn't nobody there so we thought it was a setup so we left after just driving for a couple hours this car started shooting at us and vick and rocky started shooting back eventually we crashed the car so we had to run for it. We hid in this abandoned house last night but this morning everybody was talking about how the cops and the leader of the gang was looking for us and that's when i called you."

" why did you tell me you shot up houses then?"

" because i knew if i woulda told you the truth , you wouldn't have came." I just shook my head and sighed.

" What's this gangs leader name?"

" he told us to call him Big Red or some shit."

" Let's go see varo." I said getting up. I walked out the kitchen with marco behind me.

" Ma , i'm leaving and taking marco with me." I said walking out the house as marco gave her a hug.

" What's up varo." I said walking in his office with marco behind me.

" Why you bring this nigga to my trap." He said as me and marco sat across from him.

" Varo , When you gone put me on?" Marco said smiling.

" Never little nigga."

" So where's cash?" I said changing the subject.

" She had her first anger management class today."

" Awe that's what's up."

" So what y'all need?"

" Te him the story marco." I said leaning back in my seat.

After marco told varo the story , Varo cussed him out and I told him to go wait in the car.

" Yo brother and his friends dumb asf." He said lighting a blunt.

" Yea , I know."

" You ever heard of that nigga Big Red."

" Nah , must be some little nigga trynna come up."

" Or maybe he has something to do with that dude on the recorder. "

" I never thought about that , you think this is why he said people is going to be talking about me in a couple of days?"

" I dont know , but don't get into s**t until we find out."

I nodded and bit my lip.

" You seen scooby?"

"Nah , He told me he was staying extra close to his daughter after what that recorder said." I said with a shrug.

" Man , i'm confused asf , I don't know who this nigga is."

" Cash read that letter yet?"

" Nah , I told her to but you know you can't tell her ass nothing." He said shaking his head.

" Yo girl crazy."

" Speaking of cash , her therapist is calling me right now , Hello.......... What you mean somethings wrong with her?............. She's doing what?........... Ok man i'm on my way" he hung up the phone and got up.

" What's wrong bruh?"

" Somethings wrong with cash , I gotta go get her."

" You want me to come with you?"

" Nah , just handle marco." He said walking out his office.

I shrugged and walked out too. I saw marco sitting on a couch talking to a hoe.

" Marco , bring yo ass on." He laughed and got up and followed me out the trap.

" So what did varo say? Is he going to help me?"

" Right now all you need to worry about is staying out of sight , you coming to my house."

" alright i'm cool with that , can we stop and get some food first A nigga hungry."
