It was hard to think clearly as we planned the attack on Marcus. All I could focus on was Elena—where she was and what he might be doing to her. It was obvious that Marcus had let Rebecca live so she could come to us and reveal what had happened. Marcus knew I had marked Elena as mine, and to truly claim her, he had to kill me. But he wanted me to come to him.
“He will be expecting us,” Rafe said.
I nodded. “Yes, but trying to outsmart him on his own territory won’t work,” I replied. “We need to attack head-on.”
