“Where are we going?” I asked, confused, as I came down the stairs and saw Revenge standing at the entrance.
“Out,” he replied with a mysterious smile.
I glanced around nervously, as if expecting something to leap out of the shadows and attack, but there was no one around. I turned back to Revenge.
“When will we be back?” I inquired.
“Later tonight,” he replied, extending his hand toward me.
I hesitated. As much as I wanted to go with him, my concern for my sister held me back. Ever since I had caught her with Cole a week ago, she had been acting strangely, and Cole was behaving even more oddly.
