CHAPTER 1- Betrayal
It was a sunny day when Victoria went to buy a surprise gift for her fiance whom she have loved for 10 years. She decided to present this gift as a token of love for their 10 years together. She clutched the small gift bag in her hand, her fingers trembling from excitement. Inside was a silver wristwatch — engraved with "To forever, Caleb. Love, Victoria." She had planned the surprise perfectly. It was their third anniversary. And tonight, she would tell him the news: her promotion had just been finalized. A new apartment, a raise, and the future she dreamed of — all aligning like stars. As she stepped into Caleb’s apartment, the hallway was dimly lit. Romantic music floated in from somewhere down the hall. Her lips curved. He remembered. But the closer she got to the bedroom, the louder the laughter became. A laugh she had known since childhood. Stella. Her stepsister’s giggle was unmistakable — high-pitched, flirtatious, and completely out of place. Victoria’s heart thudded. Her steps faltered. Maybe Stella had stopped by. Maybe it was a joke. But something inside her already knew. The door to the bedroom was left wide open — almost waiting for her. She walked in. And the world stopped. There they were. Her fiancé. Her sister. Entwined. Naked. Laughing. Stella’s hand was on Caleb’s chest as she purred, “She should be here by now. I told you she’d find out today. Didn’t I promise?” Caleb chuckled lazily, not even turning to look. “Yeah… and thank God. I was getting tired of pretending. Victoria’s as dull as dry toast.” Victoria couldn’t breathe. She couldn't blink. The bag slipped from her hand, landing on the floor with a soft thud. Stella’s eyes flicked up first — wide with mock surprise. Then came the smirk. “Well, well… You’re early, Vic.” Caleb slowly sat up in bed. No shame. No guilt. Just a bored expression. “Guess the cat’s out of the bag.” “You… you planned this?” Victoria whispered, her voice shaking. “You wanted me to see this?” Stella rose from the bed, stretching shamelessly. “Of course I did. You always had everything, didn’t you? Dad’s attention. Dad’s name. Caleb. But you didn’t really think he loved you, did you?” Caleb leaned back on his elbows, voice cruel. “You were just safe, Victoria. Predictable. But Stella... she’s fire. She's exciting. You? You were just... convenient. I always wanted you to be sweet like Stella but you didn't give me the chance to get through your h***" Victoria took a step back like he’d slapped her. "You’re sick," she whispered, her voice cracking. "Both of you." Stella laughed. “Oh please. Don’t act like a victim. You were so busy being perfect, you never saw what was real.” Victoria stared at them — the man she loved and the sister she trusted — and in that moment, something inside her broke. No more softness. No more silence. She straightened her shoulders and held her head high. “You think you’ve won? Fine. Keep each other. You deserve every rotten part of what you are. The h*** you wanted, I will give it to someone else" And without another word, Victoria turned around and walked out. The hallway seemed longer this time. The air colder. But something in her had shifted. Something fierce. Something unbreakable. And they had no idea what they had just created. "Did you hear what she just said?. Does she think I need that ?" "Forget about her. I am all you see now Caleb. I can't wait any longer, come on make me beg for you."
