Chapter Two

508 Words
As I pulled in my driveway, I saw my kitchen light on. That means my husband, Shawn was still at the hospital. So I was alone... Again. This had been going on for months, and I had become used to coming home and being alone. As I walked upstairs, I took off my heels and revealed my swollen feet. I went straight to my bathroom, slipped off my underwear, and roughly took off my dress. That's one of the many reasons why I wanted my husband at home more. I always thought husbands were supposed to be there to help you unzip your dress. Because it's really difficult. If you're a girl, you should understand.  After I soaked in the tub for about an hour I dried off, put one of my husband's loose fitted Harvard t-shirts on, and began to walk downstairs to my kitchen. I grabbed a medium sized bowl, and made me a bowl of Lucky Charms. I called them Lucky's for short. They seemed to be the only thing that calmed me down. I know that may seem weird, but it's true. After I made my cereal, I returned to my room, turned on my tv, and I was right on time for my favorite late night show. "Baggage". It was basically people coming on there trying to find "love" from three contestants. But they had "baggage" also known as embarrassing secrets or bad habits they had to share. And if the man or woman thought you had too much "baggage" for them, they sent your ass packing.  I don't know why I liked the show so much. I guess I was just amused by knowing random strangers had extremely weird secrets. I never believed in finding "love" on a game show. I mean I've thought about what would happen if I auditioned for "Baggage". But I realized I have no secrets, or weird habits. Except that I think of my Lucky's as my best friend. I would never make it on that show. I don't really see the reason behind people having secrets. I'm an open book. I only have two friends, I work constantly, my s*x life isn't even a s*x life, I'm just a normal, boring 30 year old lawyer... I just need some excitement. The excitement I've been craving in my life for a long time.  But as I finished my Lucky's and the last episode of Baggage went off, I turned my lamp off, and laid down preparing myself to go to bed.  15 minutes had passed and I was still awake. Then I heard my husband's car doors lock, and a few seconds after my front door opened. As he came in our bedroom, I could hear him taking off his clothes. He quietly tried to slide in our bed. As I sit there waiting for him to see if I'm awake, or make a move on me, I was getting sorta anxious. But after 5 minutes of silence, I heard him snoring. So much for having sex...
