012: You were Warned? ✨✨✨

The nights were the hardest, Marceline cried more than ever and her chest constricted all the time, It had been a week since Marceline left Her home, her life and her hope, The only thing she took along with her was her will to live.

The memories with Lowell did not fade away easily, It hit her the most at night when everyone was asleep and the moon shone brightly in the sky above them as they passed. She remembered their first kiss, It was the most magical moment in her life and the most beautiful. She would give anything to be in that field Again with Lowell under the thick star studded sky.

Lowell dragged her through the thick forests, He held on tight while he maneuvered his way around, Marceline looked briefly at the sky and her breath hitched, Concerned She asked Lowell, ‘’;You Do know your way around’’, She managed to say in one breath as they continued running around.

Lowell smiled, ‘’I know my way Marceline, There is something beautiful that i want you to see’’. Marceline trusted him with her life, so she smiled as well, If he claimed to know his way around then he definitely did, Lowell was not going to lie to her.

It wasn’t long after that, That they appeared before a huge empty field, ‘Marceline groaned, ‘’Is this it?’’. Lowell chuckled before pointing towards the sky. ‘’Look up’’. Marceline followed his hand and looked at the sky and a gasp escaped her mouth, ‘’It’s Beautiful’’. She exclaimed.

The sky was exceptionally beautiful that day, The huge moon stood above them, white stars flooded the sky and fireflies flew all around them adding to the magic, ‘’Thank You Lowell’’, Marceline had said while Lowell continued smiling down at her.

Lowell seized the opportunity and claimed her lips in a short but sweet kiss that marked the beginning of their short lived relationship.

‘’You seem lost in thought?’’, Delphine had just woken up, She yawned a bit loudly and scratched her eye lids, Marceline nodded while her fingers reached under her eyes to wipe of the tears, ‘’I have a lot on my mind’’. Marceline answered sincerely, Delphine looked at her for a second before throwing her eyes away and sighing.

‘’About your situation, What’s done is done Marceline, A new life awaits us and you have to at least try and be open minded for our future. I know it won’t be easy’’, She looked at Marceline’s sulking eyes and sighed again, ‘’If it was easy to just forget it i would call you a psycho’’, Marceline chuckled while Giselle who was fast asleep on Delphine’s laps snuggled closer to her, Delphine rolled her eyes. But she did not complain,

‘’I understand Delphine, and thanks for the peptalk, it was definently much needed’’.

Delphine smiled softly before rolling her eyes again, ‘’Whatever’’. She did not go back to sleep though and just stared ahead. Marceline pulled her legs up and hugged her knees, ‘’What do you think lies ahead for us, Do you think we would be fine?’’

‘’You can’t sleep huh?’’, Odette asked as she pried herself away from her sister, ‘’And she doesn’t want us sleeping as well’’, Delphine said in a sassy tone.

‘’I guess so, i do apologise, let’s sleep then’’, Marceline’s cheek was hot and she cringed, she did not mean to wake them up and regretted opening her mouth. Odette chuckled softly, she placed her hand to cover her lips as she chuckled but her chuckle was light, soft and much needed to light up a dark room.

‘’It is okay Marceline, I was only joking’’. Odette gave her a reassuring smile which warmed Marceline.

‘’Our lives are not certain, But tomorrow is though’’. Delphine chipped in and Marceline gave her a confused look, ‘’Huh?’’,

‘’What she means is, Tomorrows journey is certain, we are being taken to the state of Agreed”. Odette said as she caressed her sister’s hair.

‘’Exactly’’. Delphine said happy that someone was as fast as her.

“Agred is towards the south of our state, so it isn’t far and is technically the next state ahead, But why do we need to go there, or are we meant to stop at each states?’’, Marceline’s curious eyes looked at both Delphine and Odette who shared eye contact with each other before slouching their shoulders and sighing. Though the cart wasn’t much clear, the bright moon gave them light which helped.

‘’You sound ignorant and that is not a good thing for our journey’’. Delphine looked straight at Marceline as she spoke, She feared nothing and was honestly disappointed.

‘’You should have done some research at least, something so trivial could lead to your death’’, Was Odette’s response to her question.

‘’I apologise, i was not in the right space before the choosing’’, Marceline Unconciously trailed her hand over her wounded body and once Odette got a glance she sighed defeatedly.

‘’You have to know the basics , the principal states, the Alpha’s and their luna’s, and then the capital, A tribute was killed by Alpha Cana because she forgot luna Luperca’s name, I may not know you, but i wish we go back home complete’’. Odette explained calmly, Marceline blinked her eyes a few times to understand the words that had been said to her, She refused to believe that someone could be killed for forgetting a name, but at the back of her mind she knew nothing was so impossible.

‘’I need your help then, I don’t mind reciting them, but first who is the Alpha we are meeting tomorrow and...... why?’’. Odette covered her sister’s body with the blanket that they were given, Odette realised earlier that it wasn’t so bad, it felt similar to the rooms in their little houses, they were given five thin blankets, three kegs of water and two loafs of bread and barely rotten fruits, It was still bad but much more manageable.

Odette whipped her head around and focused back on the conversion, ‘’Well this is what you have to know....................’’
