Chapter 8
Marceline’s body was tied to the ceiling by thick black ropes. Her body was covered thankfully but the barely covering dress stuck to her body like glue, and the reason was the dried blood that covered seventy-five percent of her body. Marceline was barely moving when she was brought into the Triante Mansion. On Alicia’s orders, she had been planked and hit several times and, according to what she heard in her barely conscious state, they were ordered to beat her until she was barely recognizable. The men had done just that. Though she begged and begged, it was futile as the men still acted out the orders on her, and quiet frankly, Their frustration as well.
Although Marceline felt pain all over her body and was barely able to think, she still felt and heard Lowell’s call for her and that was enough motivation for her to open her eyes and see him. Marceline saw Lowell under the thick layer of blood that covered her eyes. She blinked a few times in hopes of getting the thick layer to fall,. But that was half successful, as only one eye became visible. That was good enough for her, though, and she used that eye to follow Lowell as he approached her.
Lowell was red with anger. He couldn’t look Marceline in the face without feeling the need to hurt the parents whom he turned to face as he tried seeking answers.
‘’What is this?’’, Lowell tried to act calm. He kept his voice low. He did not want to make a scene in front of the Triante’s.
‘’This is the gift that I intend to give to The Triante. A little token of gratitude for the new marriage union’’. Alicia said as she pulled Mrs Triante closer.
Lowell looked at his mother in disbelief. He was shocked but at the same time disappointed, ‘’You can not be serious, She is a human being!!, and not an object on display’’. Lowell yelled at his mother, who maintained a wicked smile in response.
‘’Delusional of you to think she is on the same level as us. She is a lesser human. We aren’t. Your mum owns her and she can do to that thing as she pleases’’. Cindy said with a grin as she inputted herself into the conversation.
‘’Oh really, I do not wish to get married to you, Cindy, especially if the love of my life has to be tied up. Like a slaughtered pig!!!’’, Lowell sighted a bread knife on the table. He rushed after it and with a swing of his arm collected it on first chance and He then ran to Marceline despite the screams from his mother and began cutting the ropes, ‘’I won’t leave you ever’’.
‘’Stop right there if you want to see that slave live for another hour!!!!’’, Mr Triante said, causing Lowell to turn immediately from Marceline. Through her eyes, Marceline saw Mr Triante aim a gun at her. Her breathing heightened immediately. She could tell Lowell was frightened as well, as he lowered the knife that practically fell to the floor in an instance.
‘’You think you have a choice. If you so much as to free that girl, you end up killing her and you still have to marry my precious daughter. It is a loose loose situation, so you should at least strive to keep the one you claim to love alive. We do not want our son-in-law to have blood on his hands yet’’. Mr Triante explained so lightly though his words were more scary and his aim at her still never faltered.
Lowell looked at Marceline once more before he decided to take a step back away from her.
‘’Sage!!!’’, Mr Triante called out to someone who came rushing through the huge doors along with two other people.
‘’Yes sir’’. A guy who seemed to be Sage replied to Mr Triante, whose aim was still towards poor Marceline.
‘’Take the girl away. Put her in the cell in the lower basement where no one will hear her’’. Mr Triante said as he lowered the gun down.
‘’Rojer Sir’’, Sage said as he motioned for the other two men to follow him, ‘’Marcus , Derek, I will take the head area, you both should deal with loosening the limbs’’. Sage, Marcus and Derek all approached Marceline, who was frightened. They each pulled out a knife from their backs and slowly approached her.
Marceline’s breath heightened as she felt them attack the ropes with their sharp knives. She needed to go. She wanted to run and disappear, but that was practically impossible, so she began calling for help, ‘’Please’’. Marceline managed to get out. Looking at their faces, she realized she was barely audible as no one had heard her.
‘’Please !!!’’, She yelled out, finally gaining everyone’s attention, but Lowell, who kept his back turned to her, ‘’Lowell’’. She called out once, but Lowell kept his back turned still, ‘’Lowell!’’. She called louder this time before she felt herself hanging in the air for a millisecond and then her body fell to the ground with a loud thud. Marceline winced for help, as she felt a bone in her body crack.
The three men wasted no time in picking her up from the ground. Marceline tried stupidly to fight them but they were way more stronger than her and each try left her more weak and looking stupid.
‘’Take her away!!’’. Cindy ordered this time as she walked over to Lowell’s side.
‘’Lowell, please help me, I have no one else. My parents have no one else. If you ever truly care for me, you will find a way to Lowell’’. Marceline continuously begged as the three men dragged her past the family members. The twins looked away from her horrific sight, Mrs Triante looked down while Lowell’s father and mother looked at her with a bright smile. Cindy was happy as well, but all those people couldn’t faze Marceline, She was not close to them, neither did she know them,. But the moment she passed Lowell her heart broke completely. He was indifferent.
