“What do you mean, you’re not in therapy?” Eli tried not to sound upset. “I thought we had an agreement?”
She had promised Eli she would start going to sessions after they returned home. He knew how much Dr. Dana Kerns had helped him in the past, he had no doubt that Alli would benefit as well. Goddess knows she has been through so much.
“I had an appointment but it conflicted with a meeting last week. I just forgot to reschedule it,” she explained with a shrug.
“Forgot to or didn’t want to?” Eli prodded her.
“Alright, I didn’t think it was as important as everything else going on.”
Eli frowned as he decided what to say next. She had claimed she was broken, even though he didn’t think so. He needed to convince her without making her feel like there was something wrong with her.
