ARYA'S POV
I looked at the surprised looks on their faces at the mention of Andre Williams name. They surely knew who he was but they had never had the privilege of meeting him in person, I too just recently met him in person some weeks ago.
"NO WAY! "
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE FRIENDS WITH MILLIONAIRE!" Henry exclaimed with joy. He couldn't believe his ears.
"You are mistaken son, Andre Williams is a billionaire". Father said, very familiar with him. I wasn't surprised at all, Andre Williams was very popular in Oakwood.
"How did you two meet darling, was it at the pageant show?" Mom asked.
"No mom, not at the pageant show. He was invited but didn't show up. I couldn't care less because of his reputation". I replied.
Come to think of it, that was why Arthur struck me unlike any other man I had met, unlike Andre who was famous as a playboy. Andre was as good looking as Arthur and it was hard to pick who was more handsome. It could only be settled by personal preference and now I picked Arthur.
I was beautiful and eighteen but all my life I had never dated once, not because I had not been asked out but because I strongly believed in finding the ONE - THE ONE THAT WAS ONLY DESTINED FOR ME!
I know I was a hopeless romantic, although I rarely showed it on the surface. Outside I was just a cool, level headed girl.
"So you never met at the show, so where did you meet?" Mother asked. I couldn't help but recall our first encounter...

I was well into my morning shift at past 9 AM. The coffee shop was filled with the smell of freshly made coffee that I loved so much.
Half the coffee shop was filled as it was rush hour and people were walking in and out. I was taking orders over the counter but I didn't have the leisure to notice who was walking in or out.
Mary and Thelma were also around, helping to take orders of those seated in the coffee shop.
I felt someone stop in front of the counter and it seemed like time froze for a second. I wondered who it was, as the figure cast a slight shadow over me, revealing it was a tall person standing at the other side of the counter.
"Miss Miles, I'd like a cup of iced coffee for the road". He said with his baritone voice in a formal manner. He sounded really attractive as I looked up slowly to see who had caught my attention without sight.
I couldn't believe my eyes as I glanced at him. If it wasn't the famous billionaire himself.
"Andre Williams, nice to meet you". I tried my best to control myself. Of course, I was bubbling inside with excitement. What was he doing here? I have never seen him stop by here for coffee before.
"Nice to meet you too". He responded but with his hands to himself. He looked at me briefly before taking his eyes off me and looking at the shop.
"I'm sorry to bother you but how do you know my name?" I said the first careless thing that came out of my mouth.
It was rush hour and I was not supposed to be chit chatting with the customers because they had somewhere important to be at, especially someone as important as Andre Williams.
"Oh, your name is on your name tag, Miss Arya Miles". He pointed out with his left index finger. His words again were formal but I suddenly became embarrassed after forgetting I had my name tag on my uniform.
"It is also hard not to recognize the face of the city, 3 years in a row". He added. I liked his last statement very much, it meant that he knew me even without the name tag on.
I smiled, feeling less embarrassed like before. It gave me the confidence to ask him a further question.
"I guess the coffee at home or at work doesn't taste as good as before, otherwise why are you here?" I inquired. I couldn't help but remind myself of his notoriety not to fall for him, afterall he was a known playboy.
"I hope it doesn't but unfortunately the lady that makes my coffee at work had to leave to tend to her sick mother. I am not expecting her back in some months unless a miracle happens with her mother's health".
"So now you know. I had no other choice but to come, I heard you make a good cup of coffee here". He revealed. He was taking my questions in strides and I could tell he had a great personality.
"Yes...yes we do".
I found myself drawn to his personality and so I stuttered. It was enough to reset my brain as I shouldn't have expected any less from a man known to have his way with women.
"I'll get your coffee made right away". I bowed my head, escaping his eyes as I went about making his iced coffee. I had kept him standing longer than I should have and I needed to send him off on his way.
"I didn't mean to take your time with my questions, here you go". I said, handing him the packed iced coffee but he did the weirdest thing - he smiled at me!
It was less than a few seconds but it felt longer than it did, like a minute as I stared at his warm smile. It felt so genuine and beautiful to look at, as I smiled back at him. His smile was contagious and I had caught its virus.
He collected his coffee from my hand, seeing me smile at him without saying a word and then he turned to leave in the midst of the little crowd in the coffee shop.
I hadn't bothered before now to see who was coming in and going out as I was busy over the counter but I watched as he walked towards the front door.
"Come back some other time!" I called out impulsively. I was sure that, he just walking away was not how our conversation was supposed to end.
I could see he heard my voice, as he stopped in his tracks and turned to look at me.
"Sure. If the coffee is as good as I have heard, I'll be back tomorrow". He smiled at me, as he turned and walked out of the shop.

"So we met at the coffee shop, that was about 3 weeks ago and ever since then, he would stop by to get coffee on his way to work". I revealed to my family.
I could see they were itching to ask me some more questions, especially my mom but I had to make them wait.
"Before I get my hopes up, I need to first speak with Andre about staying with him. He gave me his business card to contact him and it is in my room".
"Henry, please can I borrow your phone?" My kid brother was aware I had misplaced my phone.
"Sure Arya". Henry said, as he handed me over his phone. A few moments later, I was up the flight of stairs, on my way to my room to call him.
