Midnight Serenade

" Embrace the Moment "

Lily pulls James towards her, his heart is racing as the feeling of love overcomes his mind and body. He looks down into Lily's eyes, and she looks back at him. He puts his hands on her waist and he pulls her even closer. Their faces are almost touching, and they take a deep breath. James is waiting for Lily to move first, but just as he's about to do it, Lily closes the final gap between their lips. Their lips touch, and the feeling of love and passion overwhelms both of them in this moment. They let out a sigh as they pull away, they are both left in a state of bliss, a smile spreads across both of their faces as that feeling of happiness and love is shared between the both of them. They both look at each other, as the moonlight illuminates their faces beautifully, and the sound of birds chirping fill the air. Lily puts her hands up to James’ face, as she speaks.

‘James, you have no idea how long I've wanted to do that.." James looks at Lily, and smiles. “I've wanted this moment since the first time I saw you…” Lily and James sit next to each other, under the moonlight. They both sit in silence, the sounds of nature fill the air. Lily’s hand rest gently on James’s thigh, as they both look out at the moonlight on the water. After some time, Lily speaks up.

Lily “James, I want to tell you something." James looks at her as she continues "I wasn't completely honest when I said I hadn't come to the beach before…" Lily’s voice is soft but full of confidence. James looks over to her, his heart racing. She continues, “I come here all of the time, and I had a feeling you did too." James can't help but laugh a little, "Yeah, I come here a lot actually."

Lily smiles, "I knew I wasn't the only one. It just.. felt right being here. Like.. it felt like home."

Lily pulls James closer to her and wraps her arms around him "I want to confess something else." With a little laugh, she adds "Just, bear with me for a few more moments." lily takes a deep breath “it’s just that.. whenever I'm here at the beach I always thought to myself, I wish I could have someone to share this moment with.. someone to laugh and have fun with.." lily pauses “and.. I'm glad I have someone like that now..”

Lily looks over at James, her hair blows in the wind “I'm so glad I met you, James. You're the one I’ve been looking for at this beach.” The sound of waves crash against the sand, the moonlight paints a pretty picture of Lily's face. Lily leans over, and puts her head into James’s shoulder. The sound of waves crashing, birds chirping, and a warm summer breeze fill the air. James puts his arms around Lily, and holds her close. The night sounds calm and peaceful, and for the moment the two don’t care about anything else around them. Their lips touch briefly, and a small kiss passes between them, the two remain there for a few moments, but James has a feeling that this night with Lily is far from over.
