Midnight Serenade

" Together Forever "

Lily and James continue to sit in silence on the beach, in each other's arms. They enjoy the warmth and soothing sound of the waves crashing in the background "Lily, can I ask you something?" James asks after a few minutes of silence.

Lily looks up at him, her sweet expression fills her face "Yes, what do you want to ask?"

James pauses for a moment, he thinks of how to ask Lily his question. He takes a deep breath and speaks "Lily, I know its too early, but I want to be with you.. forever, no matter what.” Lily hears his words and her heart leaps, the feeling of love and passion fills her as she looks into his eyes. She can't contain it anymore "I want to be with you forever too" Lily speaks gently as tears of joy stream down her cheeks.

Lily pauses for a moment to wipe her tears and collect herself. "James, you have to hear something too" Lily's voice is soft and calming.

"I don't know if its too early in our relationship but, I don't care and I don't want to hold it in. I love you James.. and I don't want to let you go" "Lily, I've never said this to anyone ever before but, I love you too" James sighs in relief as the two of them hold each other tightly.

Lily wipes her tears and smiles sweetly "I’m glad I said it too, I didn't think I’d be saying that today, but I wouldn't want it to be with anyone else.” Lily pauses, “James, are you my boyfriend?” Lily asks innocently.

James pauses for a moment, he smiles gently at Lily. “Yes” James looks down at her. … Lily looks up at him, her eyes filled with love and joy after she hears his one word. She pauses for a minute to think of what she wants to say next.

“I want to always remember tonight James, this is the most special moment in my life” Lily says quietly, “and every time I think of this night, I will always think of you” she continues.

Lily then pauses and smiles gently at him “I want to keep the drawing of us that I made on the sand” Lily looks at the drawing and then back to James. The sound of waves crashing, the moonlight painting the beautiful picture in front of them. Their arms wrapped around each other as they both look forward into their future of love and happiness.

"But James, there’s one more thing"

"What is it, Lily?"

Lily pauses before speaking, she clears her throat and speaks in a gentle and soothing tone "I want you to keep my drawing too."

James smiles gently at Lily "Your drawing, of us? Of course, Lily..." James looks forward with Lily and the two walk in silence. ..Lily and James continue walking on the beach. The warm wind, the soothing sound of the waves breaking in the background, and the moonlight painting the scene makes the moment feel calm and relaxing.

Lily takes James's hand and looks up at him. "So James..." she starts.

James looks back down at Lily and raises his eyebrow. "Yes Lily?"

Lily pauses before speaking. "I need to tell you something, but I'm not sure how you'll react." Lily looks down at the sand for a moment, then back up at James. James stops walking for a moment, he sees Lily looking down at the sand, her hands still holding his. "Lily, you can tell me anything." He responds with a gentle tone.

Lily looks back up at James, the moonlight shines on her face and she smiles. "James, I want to go further with you, if that's okay" Lily asks softly, her eyes are locked on James’s.

James looks back at Lily, slightly shocked. "W..What do you mean?"

Lily pauses with a look of nervousness on her face. Lily stares at James, her eyes filled with feelings of love and emotion. “I’m ready James..” Lily pauses for a moment, she takes a deep breath and looks down at the sand “I want to go all the way… with you”

James’s eyes are filled with shock as he looks back at Lily, but he then smiles gently at her. “Lily..”

Lily looks back at him, she smiles and nods her head eagerly. James gently picks Lily up and carries her in his arms, he starts to walk towards a more secluded area of the beach. He looks down at Lily, her hair flowing in the wind. He leans down and whispers “Lily, why don’t we take this a little further away from people, for more privacy.”

Lily nods her head gently, she smiles as the warm wind hits her face. She can’t help but blush as she is in James’s arms and feeling his touch again. Once they get to a more secluded area of the beach, James sets Lily down on the sand. He looks at her and smiles gently.

“Lily, can I ask you something?” James holds Lily’s hand as he speaks, she looks up at him with a nervous look on her face, her cheeks slightly red from the wind.

Lily smiles, “What is it, James?”

James “What if things start to get.. hot between us?”

Lily looks up at James with her eyes locked on his. “Are... are you saying that you want to..” Lily pauses for a moment, but she nods her head softly "y..yes, James.” Lily speaks gently, “but I want to take it slow..”

Lily smiles gently, her eyes filled with love and anticipation. She takes James’s hand and holds it tight, she looks up at him with a blush on her face “I want to see where our relationship goes.”

Lily pauses and thinks for a second “can we keep it a secret for now?” she asks in a tone of excitement “I don’t want people to ruin this moment for us.” Lily smiles playfully at James, “but, I don’t want to wait too long.. we’ve been dating for what feels like a lifetime.” She pauses with a teasing tone “Besides, you look very handsome right now” Lily looks up at James, with a flirty look on her face

Lily then leans forward and whispers in his ear “I’ve been waiting for you for a long time to take me on a ride.” Lily takes another look at James “and when I saw the way you looked at me on the beach.. I just couldn’t wait any longer.”
