WAITING FOR KINLEY TO SHOW up felt as if it was taking forever. She’d texted and said she was on the way, so Carter stayed close by the front door. Family dinners were always special, and tonight would be the night he’d finally introduce Kinley to his siblings, in the official capacity of his girlfriend. “Mom told me you are bringing that nurse to the family dinner tonight?”
