“OKAY, IS EVERYONE READY?” Carter asked everyone standing in the dimly lit gift store.
“I don’t know if I am. I’m nervous,” Lloyd replied.
“Dad, I’m proud of you,” one of the men by Lloyd’s side leaned in and patted him on the back.
“Thank you, Justin.” Lloyd turned to him and nodded, then turned back to the other two standing to his left, “Will, Sarah,” he acknowledged, “I’m glad each of you could make it.”
“Daddy,” the young woman smiled, “we wouldn’t miss this for the world.”
Will added, “Better late than never, Dad.”
They all laughed.
Shane popped up behind Lloyd, “And remember…” he lifted both arms up in the air.
“You have nothing to lose.” everyone in the store chanted together.
“Also,” Sarah lifted her own daughter in her arms, “don’t forget, Mom is the one who
