Chapter 51
Frank and Griff arrived at the derelict house and scrambled over the door frame to the rear. Griff struggled and was not being particularly quiet about it but they were soon in the backyard. Frank took out a pair of pliers from his backpack and began unbolting the metal sheeting that he had peered through earlier. After removing all four bolts on one side, he was able to peel it back, opening up just enough space for them both to squeeze through.
Once inside, they checked the whole house to make sure they wouldn’t get any nasty surprises. Apart from random debris and the smell of piss on the top floor, it wasn’t in that bad a state. A few licks of paint, new windows, doors, kitchen, and bathroom and it would be perfectly habitable. It seemed such a waste.
