Chapter 32 Brull pulled over several hundred yards away from the hotel on the opposite side to see the front entrance. The early morning sun cast sharp shadows across the street, an occasional taxi or scooter hurtled by, and birds scavenged at a heap of rubbish on the sidewalk. From their vantage point, they could see a group of men play cards on a table down a side street. A boy of around nine or ten raced a bicycle up and down past the card players. “What are the chances of police having been here?” Frank asked.
