Chapter 42 Frank came up the steps of Tottenham Court road station and walked east along Oxford Street, skirting the border of Soho. The crowds had thinned out now that it was after lunchtime but it was still busy by any smaller city’s standards. He kept his head down, hands in pockets, and hunched his shoulders in case the ever-increasing number of surveillance cameras picked him up. After several minutes’ walk, he turned left and crossed Soho square to an address he had memorised and took a step up to the newly painted black door of one of the red-bricked Georgian houses that had been converted into offices. After a short exchange of words, he was buzzed in and came into a plush reception room where he was greeted by a casually dressed receptionist who offered him a seat and a coffee
