AN EVENING WALK

249 Words
My brother, his friend, and I went to a local restaurant that served Amala and Ewedu, one of my favorite meals. After ordering the meal, we were heading home when I received a phone call. I told my brother and his friend to continue walking while I took the call. After I hung up, I turned around and discovered that they were no longer behind me. I panicked, and then spotted them nearby, pushing a white car that had gotten stuck in a pothole. I was relieved to see that they were safe, and even more impressed by their willingness to help someone in need. The owner of the car was an elderly gentleman who was very grateful for their assistance. After thanking them profusely, the elderly gentleman tried to give them some money as a reward for their kindness. However, my brother and his friend politely refused, saying that they were just doing what anyone would do in that situation. The man was impressed by their humility and told them they were a credit to their families and their community. He thanked them again and blessed them, saying, "May God bless you abundantly!" The entire experience left a lasting impression on me. It reminded me that kindness and generosity are some of the most valuable qualities a person can have. No matter what you get in return, it's always worth being kind and helping others. Anyways, whoever invented Amala and Ewedu is forever blessed, cravings satisfied successfully ??
