CHAPTER 15
Our meeting with the Krobats goes on well into the evening. By the time we emerge, we find the animals all waiting for us nervously in the kitchen.
“What’s the matter?” I ask them aloud.
There’s no point in being secretive with my power now that everyone knows about it.
“Someone was rapping at the door, young fledgling,” the Grand Vizier explains. “I did not witness this person up close, but I could feel an evil coming from them that I have never felt in anyone before. The canines and the felines felt it too; even the tempestuous white one outside did.”
