CHAPTER 25 Each one of the creatures has a long, scaly snout resembling a Komodo dragon, and their heads are angular much like their large, pointed shoulders. The rest of their bodies are lean and almost humanoid, except for the scales on every inch of them and their long, spiked tails, which now curl around their calloused feet. Their fingers and toes end in sharp, vicious claws. If I wasn’t familiar with strange creatures already, I think I would probably lose control of my vessel body and end up unravelling it by accident. Somehow, though, I manage to keep my cool. The one directly opposite me takes a step forward and makes a series of clicking sounds which I presume are aimed at me.
