CHAPTER TEN

Hashim, Noah and three other girls were selected along with Rebecca for the party, it wasn't such a sweet news for Kiri and Shema, they wanted to see the inside walls of the palace at least just once. Rebecca was dressed in purple, because purple clothings were rich and depicted royalty. When the party started, the dancers weren't called, instead they were entertained privately. "Are you sure we are in the right place?" Hashim asked, the girls looked at each other. "Are we being entertained because of you, Sol?" Noah asked. "What nonsense are you saying?" Rebecca said. "Yes, lady Sol" One of the girls said. "maybe you have won the favour of the Prince" "No way" Another girl said. "Didn't you hear, the Crown Prince brought the lady into the palace when she was hit by his carriage , he instructed his personal doctor to take care of her" Rebecca furrowed her brows. "Really? then our lady is a lucky girl" Rebecca looked away. She would have been very glad if the invitation had come from the Crown Prince, he was the one she wanted to meet. A servant walked in bringing drinks. "Hey, where is the party at?" She asked, the girls stopped chatting. "Patience, my lady, you would soon be called" He said, then looking behind him to make sure no one was in sight, he drew closer, and the girls did too. "His royal highness, the Prince has planned a surprise for the Crown Prince" "So we are going to dance in the chambers if the Crown Prince!!" The girls screamed in delight. "Shush" The servant commanded. " You will get me in trouble" He turned to Rebecca. "This has never happened in years, dancers have never been invited to the palace for decades" "She is not just any dancer, that's our lady you are talking to, she is the jewel in our House" The servant scoffed. "Okay, if you say so" He said and left. The other girls screeched in delight, Rebecca looked away again. Now she really wanted to meet this crippled Prince. Then the girls were called to the private chambers of the Crown Prince. There were other men of higher rank in the room with him, men if noble birth. The men were grouped and placed in a room with befitting of their rank. Before the girls went in, a messenger went in first to inform the Prince. "Hail his royal highness, Prince Li-Irad" The messenger said. "Hail, hail" The other men chorused. "I bring congratulatory messages from the Prince, to the Crown Prince on his 25th birthday" He removed a scroll. "I will read thus: To Prince Li-Amh, my brother...." ' Li-Amh?' Rebecca furrowed her brows. ' Why does he bear that name, out of every other name that exists ' She looked through a curtain at his face. "I have been ill with a cold and cannot attend this beautiful party" The messenger continued. "But I made sure I sent a present to celebrate this glorious occasion...." He stopped and looked up. "What might it be?" Prince Li-Amh asked. "He has invited a special guest to entertain the guests of the Prince, your highness" "Finally, some sought of entertainment" Kol Othniel said to a noble beside him. "What do you mean, look at all the music here" The noble said back. "You can't call this music, I almost fell asleep because it looked like we were in mourning" He replied. Prince Li-Amh heard it, but he didn't turn. "What is this... special entertainment?" All the nobles turned to the messenger, everyone knew no one could entertain like the Evil House, it was the antidote to every problem in Quin City and the royal house has never in decades invited dancers from that house. "Fair lady, Sol" There was indistinct talking from the nobles, both shock and happiness. Prince Li-Amh turned to Elidad, who was beside him and they exchanged glances. Everyone was waiting for the Prince to accept the present. "I am greatly honoured that he thought of me this way, they may come in" He said. As the messenger walked out after a bow, the girls came in, bowing to the Prince and all the other nobles. Prince Li-Amh's eyes fell on the first dancer, she held his gaze. There was something about her boldness he couldn't understand, even though she wore a veil mask, he could tell from her eyes that she wasn't just a dancer. He broke from the gaze. It was as if he was being hypnotized.
