"Honey, we have to head out to the barracks now," John softly comforted his wife, Diane. "We have to know his condition ourselves. You can join them in the OR if you want to make sure everything is being done according to your preferences."
Diane was silently crying. She was not so sure why, but her heart was like being reaped apart. She did not even hear anything about the exact condition of Lucas aside from the word "injured," but she can feel her whole being was being crushed with extreme pain she cannot even describe. But what her husband just said was like a switch button for her to realize this is not the time to be like this. She should hurry to where her son is and do everything she can to save him from whatever danger is trying to steal her son away from their family.
