Gert and Gerhardt returns home just after dark and Gerhardt is exited to show off his prosthetics to his mother and sister. He has practiced with them at 1 Military Hospital and although he is still very unsteady on them, he is able to move around a little bit. It will take a lot more practice, but he is confident that he will be able to walk again soon enough. Gert helps Gerhardt to walk into the house and calls for Elna and Petro to come see how Gerhardt stands on the prosthetics. Elna comes from the kitchen and greets them with a big smile on her face. Gerhardt is very pleased with himself. ‘Hallo mom, I can stand again and I will soon be able to walk with these. Where is Petro?’
‘I am so happy for you Gerhardt.’ She gives him a hug and a kiss. ‘Come through, dinner is done.’
