Ava I couldn't shift the feeling that I was missing something. I knew she had something concealed in the pocket of her robe. Perhaps it was alcohol? Perhaps it was a ring? Or perhaps it was something else. Either way, it didn't sit right with me. She hadn't got it from my room, I knew that much. I had thought my mother had gone into her bedroom to grieve, or to grab something she had misplaced. Now, I wasn't sure. The communal bathroom was beside her bedroom.
