As we both sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, we heard the sound of footsteps behind us. We turned, and saw Mickey and the warriors standing there, their faces covered in dirt and grime. They had clearly been through a grave battle, but they were all smiling.
"It's over," Mickey said.
"We defeated Eudora's men, no one was allowed to escape. You're safe now", Mickey assured us.
Henry and I exchanged a look of relief, and i felt my heart swell with gratitude.
"I think we will all have to remain here for some minutes. I've arranged for a carriage to come take you both back to the castle. It'll be here soon", Mickey said, smiles running a through his cheeks.
"Thank you, Mickey," I said, my voice thick with emotion.
