Henry's expression softened, and he gently pulled me closer to him. I nestled my head against his shoulder, savoring the feeling of being safe in his arms. They remained like that for a moment, enjoying the peace and quiet moment inside the carriage, until I finally broke the silence.
"I'm so glad we're together, Henry. I don't know what I would have done without you", I said more like a whisper, my voice soft and calm.
Henry tightened his hold on me, his heart full of immense happiness.
"Me too, Esme. I'm just glad we're both safe", he said, calming my head.
The castle came into view, and the guards opened the gate as we approached the entrance.
As our carriage walked through the gate, the guards cheered and clapped, their faces beaming with pride. The rest of the warriors joined in,
