CHAPTER 13
Erica's POV
(Jane)
I looked through the dark windows as Alpha King Dante faced his Beta, Logan. I couldn't hear their words because the soundproof glass kept me from listening, but I saw Dante's shoulders tense and his jaw tighten, making his face look stiff. His skin grew pale, losing color, which showed he was really angry.
What could Logan have said to make him so furious? I thought quietly, tapping my fingers nervously on my thigh. One moment Dante was annoyed with me, and the next he seemed ready to destroy everything.
Dante turned quickly, ignoring Logan, and walked back into the house with strong, determined steps. After watching Dante go inside the large building, Logan walked around the car and got into the driver's seat. He looked calm as he gave me a polite nod.
