Episode 7 New Beginning Mia

Mia just stands there looking like a deer in the headlights not wanting to give away her true emotions or her intentions, watching her mother negotiate a deal with Logan while taking the back seat. "So what do I get out of this?" Mia asks her mother and Logan, for a second they both looked confused because to them it should be obvious what Mia gets. "Well honey you get your inheritance of course, or would you rather wait till you are thirty to get your money's worth?" Grace replies genuinely puzzled by Mia's question. But Mia ponders things for a little while before replying "Well I could simply get married to someone else and still get my inheritance, the will doesn’t say it has to be Logan just someone with the capabilities of running the company till I can run it myself if I ever decide I want to". Grace's brows furrow "I guess you can do that but no one knows this company like Logan and your own father mentored him, there is absolutely no need to bring in a stranger into family business and Logan is practically family". Mia chuckles at her mother's statement and for good reason "Mom you have never liked Logan, not long ago you were referring to him as a grimy sleaze ball and now you want me to marry that same person? Please excuse me but I find that hard to believe, I guess the better question would be what do you get out of this mom?. Mia was right to question her mother's intentions it did seem a bit odd that she would want her daughter to marry someone she despised. After a long conversation it was settled that Mia would marry Logan but they had to negotiate the terms with their lawyers because she had conditions of her own.

A few days after the funeral Mia went back to London to pack up her whole life and move to New York were she would be finishing her studies at Columbia and working at Rexford Software's headquarters. Christian and Alex were very sad to see Mia live and Christian tried to convince her to take some time and think about this, "Look Mia you are my friend and yes Logan is my friend too but I don’t want to see you get hurt and you of all people know what Logan is like with women you have seen it first hand since we were teenagers" Christian said. "Thank you for trying to look out for me Christian but this isn't a love thing and I'm not some naive teenager who thinks Logan will suddenly change or who even believe Logan loves me, he is doing this to get the shares and control of the company and believe it or not that's exactly why I'm doing this". Christian contemplated what Mia said but he also realised there was no changing her mind not about this "will you at least make sure you are protected if all this goes wrong because you know Logan plays dirty and he plays to win" Christian said, "Oh I know how Logan plays, my dad taught him a lot of things but unlike him i didn’t have to learn its engraved in my DNA" she thought about explaining more but decided to simply say goodbye to Christian.

Alex was more excited about Mia leaving to start a life with Logan than Christian was, she knew Mia had feelings for Logan for as long as she'd known him and this was inevitable, Alex was an incurable romantic and wanted Mia to find love and be happy even in the midst of all of this. "Omg I'm going to miss you so much, I cant believe I'm gonna have to get a new roommate. And by the way thanks for letting me stay in your apartment for free" Alex said to Mia. "You don’t have to get a roommate you know, you can just stay alone and enjoy walking around in your underwear and bringing boyfriends over without anyone telling you to keep it down" Mia said and they both laughed remembering the good times they had in the apartment. Alex was happy for Mia especially because she knew Mia was planning on taking over the company after her dad retired that is why she was taking business courses at London business school but she was also saddened to see her go. "Everyone at work wanted to throw you a going away party but since this was last minute they are just hoping for an invitation to your wedding, ok let me drive you the airport". Mia and Alex drove to the airport, in the car they talked and laughed and Alex dropped her off at the private airstrip were here family jet was waiting. "I'm going to miss you so much Alex, you have no idea how much you have always meant to me since boarding school" Mia said smiling and they hugged, "I'll miss you too baby girl, promise me you'll call and text everyday and you will hate New York because I'm not there with you" Mia promised and with that she left her old life and went to start her new one.

It took a while for Mia to settle into her apartment, it was a penthouse at a prestige building not too far from Columbia. After getting settled and enrolling in her classes Mia got into routine, part of the deal was that the public would never know that Logan and Mia's marriage was a business deal so they had to do some public appearances. Mia and Logan had lunch a few times a week and some dinners, Logan was allowed to see other people before getting publicly engaged but had to be discreet about it because they really had to sell it. Most of the time Mia felt a little weird kissing Logan especially because it was for appearances, she never thought kissing Logan for the first time would be because of a sham although they did share a small kiss once upon a time while playing spin the bottle at one of Mia's many summer parties for a virgin Mia was very sociable. After two months of keeping up appearances Logan proposed to Mia at the top of the empire state building and it was so romantic that even Grace could've believed they were really in love and maybe they were but this wasn't that story.

Mia didn’t want a big wedding but Logan's mom was so excited she wanted to invite the entire world, poor woman had no idea she was being fooled. Mia decided to compromise and have a thousand guests for the wedding and Alex would be her bridesmaid and of course Christian would be Logan's best man. Christian was still not happy about this and Logan was still very jealous of Christian and Mia's friendship, Mia had started to notice that Logan acts strangely whenever Christian was around. Mia and Logan decided getting a new place together would be a better option instead of staying in Logan's f**k pad, the one thing they forgot to discuss while negotiating this contract was whether or not s*x was part of the equation but Mia obviously knew it had to be because from what she'd gathered Logan had a very active s*x life before they got engaged. The wedding was underway and everything was going well until one day when Mia walked into their place and found Logan standing in the leaving room with a young beautiful blonde with legs for days, "Hey I'm home" Mia stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the girl in Logan's arms and Logan looked guilty as sin. "Hi honey, how was your day?" Logan said and went to kiss Mia, even for Logan it was over the top acting, Mia looked between the girl and Logan and walked over to the girl and extended her hand "Hi I'm Mia, Logan's fiancé". The girl took Mia's hand and shook it "Hi I'm Emily an old friend of Logan's from college" turns out Logan likes girls who's names start with Em. Logan broke the silence that was looming “Emily was in town for work and she decide to seek me out to catch up, you don’t mind do you honey?" Logan said. "Of course not, any friend of Logan's is welcome in our home" Mia said smiling. One of the conditions to this marriage is that both Logan and Mia have to be faithful or there would be dire consequences if the other doesn’t hold up their end of the deal. Emily feeling the tension decided to say her goodbyes and told Logan it was great catching up "It was very nice to meet you Mia, Logan is a very lucky man I hope he knows that" the girls chuckled, "I certainly hope he does" Mia replied and with that Emily left.

When Mia asked about Emily a few days later Logan was quite evasive, giving half answers and changing the topic, Mia realised there was more to that story but left it alone. Logan spent the better part of the week trying to avoid Mia by leaving really early and coming home extremely late but Mia just ignored it. The wedding was a few days away and Christian was still trying to convince Mia to back out of this but Mia of course insisted she had everything under control, "Look Christian you don't have to worry I have everything under control and on the contrary to popular believe I can look after myself and I know what I'm doing so stop worrying" Mia said to Christian but he wasn't very convinced that Mia knew what she was getting herself into but he let it go and Mia finally saying "If he steps out of line I will let you beat him up okay", "Okay fine I still think it's a bad idea though just so you know" Mia and Christian ended their phone call just as Logan walked in. After living with Logan for a little over 2 months Mia was surprised Logan hasn't tried to sleep with her, she knew Logan was a womanizer so it was a bit shocking, did he not find her attractive because she was sure she had seen him look at her like she was a juicy steak so she decide to bring it up.

"Logan I was hoping we could talk about something and I know this is a strange topic but how come we haven’t slept together yet, I mean when I agreed to this I knew s*x would be a commodity in our relationship". Logan almost chocked on his food "uhm I wasn't expecting that, look Mia it's not that I don't find you attractive because I do I mean you are smoking hot and anyone who doesn’t see that is really blind because in your case even fools can see that" Logan said. "I sense a but" Mia replied, "Uhm yes but you are not just any girl, you're my fiancé and in two days my wife not to mention you're a virgin" it was Mia's turn to choke on her food, Logan handed her a glass of water. "Thanks, how did you know I was virgin?" Mia asked Logan. "Well it was a guess for the most part but then I realised looking into your past in London you never had a serious boyfriend I mean you had like two relationships and none of them lasted for even two months so when I brought it up with Christian he was evasive so I figured I must be right. Trust me I want to make love you but I'd prefer we do that on our wedding night, that we do this the right way and I really want to make it special for you so you never forget your first time". Mia was so touched by Logan gesture that she got out of her chair and went to his side and kissed him, she nibbled on his bottom lip and he grabbed her by the waist and sat her on top of him straddling him. Mia could feel the bulge in his pants grow and started to move a little so she could feel it more on her wetness but Logan stopped the kiss. "I think we should stop, we only have two days left and then I'm all yours in every way possible" Logan said to Mia and she smiled at that.

The day before the wedding Mia told Logan she was meeting an old friend for coffee downtown "I'll see you in a couple of hours" she said getting into the private elevator at their penthouse. Mia got a cab instead of driving, she didn’t want Logan to know where she was going because like Logan she had secrets of her own.
