Episode 6 Set in Stone Logan

Seeing Mia again after all these years awakens feelings in me I thought had died a long time ago, when she blatantly stares at me I also keep my eye contact not wanting to give away that it affects me that she affects me. I decide that maybe I should walk over there and talk to her, might as well get the awkwardness out of the way now "Hi Mia it's good to see you although I wish it were under different circumstances, wow I can't believe how much you've grown" Logan says to Mia. Mia and Logan continue their conversation having forgotten that someone was standing right next to them, for some odd reason they couldn't keep their eyes of each other. Logan keep looking at Mia's lips move as she spoke, Mia had very nice looking full lips and she kept biting her bottom lip like she was nervous. All Logan wanted to do was bite that lip for her, and his eyes moved to her nice full breasts he stopped looking at Mia breasts when he realised she was speaking to him and looked up to her face. "Busted!" Logan thought to himself although it seems Mia did not notice a thing but the look on Alex's face says she did. After speaking to Mia a little way and her giving him a way out he took that opportunity and beelined for the house without looking back.

"How am I going to survive 2 days with her let alone being married to her if I keep acting like a teenager around her" Logan whispered to himself, Logan couldn't believe what he was feeling and not for one second did he believe he could love Mia or anyone for that matter. Logan always told himself whatever he felt for Mia back then were just a teenage/college boy hormones nothing more, Mia was after all very hot. Logan spent the remaining hours of the day doing his best to avoid Mia by making sure he exits the room on the other side as soon as she enters, it was pretty easy because the house was significantly big. Logan decided to spend the night at a hotel even though Mia's house had plenty of bedrooms but he wasn't having any of that , the last thing he wanted was to slip up and do something stupid. Logan was about to leave when Grace asked to have a word with him in private, Mia was surprised to see her mother with Logan after all Grace never cared much for Logan's bad boy attitude and play boy tendencies. When Grace and Logan came out of the side Logan looked a little angry and Mia noticed but didn’t make much of it because she saw her mother smirking with a knowing smile, she figured Grace was probably trying to discipline him to be on his best behaviour Logan never liked being told what to do.

Logan drove to the four seasons hotel in town, he got to his room and poured himself a drink. Boston is one of the few places Logan doesn’t have a girlfriend but he did need backup so he called the next best thing his best friend Christian. "Hey bro I was just about to call you, what's up?" Christian said to Logan. "Hey man, nothing I just wanted to check in and see if you still coming to the funeral I could use some backup here" Logan replied, Christian was quiet for a second then said "Sure of course I'm not my way, Lex and I weren't the best of friends like you two but I did spend a lot of summers with his family but I'm sorry bro I'm not getting mixed up with this thing you and Grace got going on" Logan sighed but Christian went on "You're my friend, my mate, my brother but Alex would kill me if I got involved and she wouldn't be the only one and besides I think it should be Mia's choice, if you and Grace basically give her no other option she will hate you both and trust me that girl is passionate in her hate as much as in her love. All I'm saying is you don’t want to end up on the wrong side of Mia, she may look fragile but it might not boat well for you in the end you know backing a lion in to a corner and all". Logan thought Christian was being ridiculous, scared of Mia really it's like bring scared of a stuffed bunny. Mia was sweet, kind, loving and friendly not a lion, Christian has no idea what he's talking about Logan thought to himself. After speaking for a few more minutes they said their goodnights and Logan poured himself another drink before taking a shower and going to bed.

In the morning Logan got ready to go to the funeral, his mind kept drifting off to Mia. He was wondering what she is doing, what she is wearing, if she is holding up okay but mostly how she would feel about marrying him. Logan should have felt like being swallowed up by the earth for such thoughts but instead he felt a bit nervous and a little happy at the thought of being married to Mia, this is a guy who has never contemplated getting married let along a contractual marriage so everything he was feeling was new to him but he hated feeling that way. Logan never let people get too close it wasn't his style especially women no matter how special others think you are to Logan you're just another star in his belt. Logan left the hotel and headed straight for the church, he arrived a little late and sat at the back but he couldn't help but notice Christian sitting besides Mia with his hand in hers and she lay her head on his shoulder and his other hand was on her backside. Logan felt a punch in his stomach, he couldn't figure out what it was that he was feeling but he was soon distracted by Mia having to give a eulogy. At the burial site Logan decided to stand at the back to be able to observe everything going on, Christian still hadn't left Mia's side and she was still crying on his shoulder, he really did wish he could punch something that was a new emotion for him. He couldn't figure out how Christian and Mia were so close I mean yes Mia was best friends with Christian’s cousin Alex and they all live in London so maybe they meet up for drinks on occasion but there was a feeling he couldn't shake like there was more to this relationship. The way Mia looked so comfortable in Christian's arms and the way Christian didn’t seem in anyway phased by it, to him it looked and felt like something they do often like they are very much aware of each other's bodies and that made him furious. But while Logan was busy watching Mia and Christian someone else was watching him.

Back at the house Logan did his best to remain the all seeing eye without being seen but then Alex walked up to him "Hey, didn’t see you at the cemetery or the church" Alex said to Logan, Logan replied "Well I was there but in the back, I don't do well with many wealthy people in coffined spaces it ends up being a pissing contest" Logan made a joke and Alex laughed. Alex realised Logan was watching Mia and Christian even when talking to her he couldn't seem to keep his eyed off Mia for even a second, "they aren't dating you know, in case you were wondering" Alex said. Logan turned to look at her and pretended to be confused by what Alex was saying but Alex just said "Never mind" and left Logan standing by himself Alex wasn’t stupid she knew the problem that was brewing luckily they'll all be back in London soon enough. Logan decided it was time for him to get out of here, he would come back later for his meeting with Grace so he went to a bar he used to go to during his college years. 2 hours and 1 still untouched glass of whiskey later Logan was still sitting at the bar looking like someone just shot his puppy. Christian and Alex walked in and got a table before noticing him at the bar, Christian went over to him. "Hey bro was wondering were you disappeared to, you alright? You look a little pale", Christian said to Logan. "I'm fine man I just don't do well with funerals you know that, I see you brought Alex on your search and rescue mission", the three of them sat by the bar and talked and laughed when Logan got a message from Grace they headed back to the house.

When they walked in Alex went to look for Mia and they all heard sobbing coming from the garden and went to check, Mia was sitting on the garden bench with some papers and an envelope in her hand. "Hey are you okay" Alex said to Mia but she didn’t reply "I'll get Grace" Logan offered but Mia shook her head and then they all noticed the papers she was holding were hand written letters with Lex's penmanship. Christian sat down besides Mia and put an arm around her and she just melted into him like it was the most natural thing in the world, and there was that feeling again but this time he felt like he wanted to throw up so he excused himself and went to sit alone in the study. Logan was starting to consider backing out of this plan and just letting Lexington Software go but he just couldn’t bring himself to walk away and for once it had nothing to do with the company, he wanted Mia and Logan Rexford always gets what he wants. After sitting there for a while the door opened Grace walked in with Mia on her heels, “hi my mom and I need to use the study, would you mind waiting outside for a little while" Mia said to Logan but Grace quickly told her Logan was part of the meeting. Logan felt very nervous, his heart was beating fast and his palms were sweaty. He didn’t know how Mia would react to this proposition, he had to convince her because in order to get her in his life he needs her not go back to London so this was his only shot to kill two birds with one stone, get the girl and get the company. Grace brought up Mia's current dilemma in Hope’s that she would see things their way but without actually saying Logan and Mia should get married but Mia is a smart girl she had already figured it out, Logan didn’t even know were to begin when he saw the look on Mia's face, it was a look he knew all too well indifference. Did she not care whether or not she has to marry Logan or is it Logan she doesn’t care about?.
