The next morning, I woke up to the sound of knocking. Not just a light tap, but persistent, steady and impossible to ignore. I groaned softly, pulling the blanket over my head for a second before the knocking come again, louder this time and more insistent. My eyes snapped open as reality rushed back in all at once. Today.
