Rose In Garden

Julie is a poor girl. Her mother Rose died when she was 11 years old. Julie's father Dominic, raised her well. He was a tailor despite their hardships, they found their own joys. They also spent more time in Julies mother's garden. After a few days, Dominic felt very uneasy about his daughter. She was a girl and he felt that she needed a mother's presence as she grew up. So Dominic decided to have another wedding. This was also a joy for Julie. So Dominic married a women named Elsy from the neighboring village. It went smoothly for a while but then some problems started coming. As the days went by Elsy's behaviour towards Julie began to change, but Dominic loved her daughter as much as ever. A few days later, Elsy's father gave Dominic money as a gift. He remodeled his house and converted his small tailoring shop into a tailoring unit. His income is increased. Slowly his character also started to change. He had no time to pay attention to Julie. He spent the little time he had with Elsy. Soon Julie became lonely in that house. And Elsy made her do house works and harassed her. Her mother's garden was her solace. She believed that her mother's spirit was there. But after all the housework, she had no time to go and sit there. So she spent the nights in the garden and one day she wakeup in her sleep dreaming her mother's face. After that she couldn't sleep no matter how hard she tried. Suddenly she noticed that there was a rose plant that was not there until yesterday. She stood next to it. There was a flower in it. She didn't know why, but that gave her a happiness she hadn't had before. Suddenly the flower blossomed. She looked surprised. A small lump was seen inside the flower. She wasn't afraid to take it. She slowly opened it and looked in it was a message on a small piece of paper. It read "Make time for yourself". She didn't understand what it was. But from that moment on, she was filled with a joy that she had never had before. It's like regaining something that was lost. Since then she started thinking about the message written on it. The next morning, it was then that her father's old sewing machine, sitting in a corner of her house, gathering dust, came to her attention.She made it out of the house with some difficulty. Elsy was watching it. But she was glad to have an old dusty sewing machine out of that lovely house. So Elsy didn't ask Julie about it. She took the sewing machine to the small room in the garden which was made for keeping manure etc. But she didn't think about why it got there. She only did what came to mind. She waited for nightfall. She went to that rose plant at night and stayed for a long time, but she didn't receive any message. She went to the side of the sewing machine without getting sleep. At some point she fell asleep. The next day she didn't receive any message from the rose plant. She read the first message she received again and again. The only time she gets is a night, she understood that the message was to make productive. For that she dusted the sewing machine and made it usable. From the next day she started learning to sew all the old cloths. Later she started selling cloths to her neighbors. So she started earning a small income. It was interrupted by Elsy.but she ignored it and managed to stand on her own two feets. She started working at that young age. Then Elsy's father died. It was only after his death that Elsy and Dominic recognised each other that he had borrowed a large sum of money by mortgaging the house where Elsy's father lived. With all that money, he arranged for Elsy's wedding and gifted them money. After the death of Elsy's father, the huge debt fell to her and Dominic. So they struggled a lot to settle that huge debt. Elsy was devastated. Julie threw herself into her work and started making a good income. When Julie came to the garden at night, the rose plant gave another message. It was like "In every person there is good and evil. But a wise man is he who awaknes the good and acts in the right way at the right time". As soon as she read it, she understood its meaning. The very day she handed over her earnings to Elsy and Dominic. It was a great help to them. They felt guilty that she helped them despite all the harm. Later they all paid the debt together. All their problems are gone. Elsy loved the Julie very much and they are lived very happily. But after that rose never blossomed again.
