"Since Danial is supposed to be the Prince, he has to behave like him in every way to avoid suspicion. If a friend of the Prince's went to the his house and announced that he was looking for the Prince, Sebastian...I mean... Danial, would have to pretend to know that friend and welcome him in the way that the real Prince would do it. He has to go to all the places the prince was supposed to go to and dress just like him. So when you came along and showed signs of having met the Prince before, he had to pretend to know you, and after figuring out you expected something from Sebastian, he had to give that thing to you without fail."
