Chapter 39Toby
It’s five o’clock, and I don’t know what to do with the rest of my day. I have quite a few hours to kill before Kai comes by later tonight. Usually, on a day like this, I would leave work around this time and fix dinner, but I took the day off, and I feel too restless to eat at the moment. Still, it’s too cold to wander outside, so I quickly decide to go home, taking the slightly longer route to ease some of the excitement bubbling inside me.
Man, today turned out to be a really good day—aside from several things, of course. I hate that Franklin showed up at Kai’s house and caused him to have a panic attack, but I’m glad I was able to calm Kai down. I loved seeing him return to me once I told him I love him. He seems okay now, especially since I gave him my key.
