The Mate's Decision

My name is Celeste Nuray Stone. I am the daughter of the Beta in The Lunar Red Pack.  They are the most powerful pack in our area due to our ruthless Alpha Gabriel Crimson Stone. Did I mention the Alpha is my uncle.  To the people who do not know him, he can be the most ruthless cold hearted man. But to his family he is a kind man who would do anything for his family especially his only nieces since he does not have children of his own. ----- Ceci !  Hurry up !!  You are so slow in everything. If you don’t hurry I am leaving you here. My twin sister yelled from downstairs. I am coming just give me a minute as I put on the last of my makeup.  I was getting ready for our 18th birthday party.  Savannah is my twin and she could not wait for me to get downstairs. Today is the day we find out who our mates will be.  You see we are werewolves and on your 18th birthday the moon goddess presents you with the person you belong to. Everything you can imagine of a great life constant of that person. They complete you in every way which makes us girls so excited to find them.  I gave myself one quick look in the mirror one more time before I walked out my room.  -----       As I walk down the stairs I am met with my sister Savannah standing waiting for me with her hand on her hip. She was in a beaded long sleeve beige deep v neck ball gown. Her sun kissed skin and golden brown hair complimented her look. She didn’t need make up very much because she was absolutely gorgeous.  Growing up, I would be so jealous because how could we be so different if we are twins after all. Everyone loved her since she was easier to talk to and good at absolutely everything. She was a prime example of a social butterfly. You look stunning Ceci!  She commented as I step out the door. Savannah was always sweet it’s hard to even be mad at her. Thank you, Ava, you look amazing as well. I stated. As I stood in front of my sister in a hip hugging black off the shoulder side slit sexy overskirt evening gown. Even though my sister and I are twins I decided to dye my hair black with gray highlights. I decided that even though it was my birthday I really did not like parties at all; after all I like to be alone most times.  I swing my arm around hers and said I guess this is it as we pushed the door open. -The Party- Our parents decided to do our birthday party outside in early March near the pack house in Oregon. Since we live in the area with thousands of acres that are owned by the Stone Enterprise we didn’t have to leave anywhere to do events and I can actually sneak out to go to bed without anyone knowing. We looked at each other and said at the same time “Wow, Mom really out did herself.”  Speak of the devil, our parents came hand in hand towards us with joy and happiness in their eyes.  Our mother was in a pastel pink v-neck pearl laced mermaid elegant evening gown while dad wore a fitted beige suit with a pastel pink bowtie to match our mom’s gown. They were absolutely adorable together. They knew they were mates at the age of 12, which was when mom walked into their middle school classroom. Although they knew they had a place in each other’s heart, it was not confirmed till they were eighteen years old.  “Hello girls, you both look beautiful don’t they honey, “Mom said. “Yes, sweetheart they are beautiful just like their mother, “Dad said. Mom started blushing and smiled at our dad.      We walked around making our rounds of greetings till we made it to our uncle as known as Alpha Gabriel.  Alpha Gab stood there in a burgundy slim fit suit with the pocket watch in his suit pocket. I had given him that pocket watch when I was 15 ½ from my first paycheck. He was very proud of me and thought it was sweet I had even given him one. But he was my favorite uncle after all. I ran and give him the biggest hug and he says “ Little one I am the Alpha must you run and jump on me like that I have an appearance to keep up with,”  he smiled. “Alpha Gab, you know I am your favorite and you always let me slip doing childish things since I can remember.” He just smiles and says “okay you are right. “ Go on, I have business to attend with your father.  I smiled and walked to where the food would be laid out. As I was walking, I was thinking about how I feel for my uncle. He hasn’t found his mate and everyday he seems to be getting more guarded. I hope he finds his mate soon I heard that having a mate can make you a little more on the gentle side since they are suppose to be your better half. As I dodge the guest left to right, I finally made it to table where all the food happened to be. Everything was there and my mouth began to drool. Sure it wasn’t lady like but if you saw and smelled everything that was put out you would do the same. My best friend Caden picked me up from behind and spun me round saying “happy birthday sunshine! You look amazing as usual.” I giggled and said oh Cade put me down. Caden was about 6’2 as I was 5’3. He was also extremely handsome with his dirty blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. He is also the Gamma’s only son.  All the girls loved him but he only had eyes for my twin sister.  You would think it was me he would want but something about my sister he just knew she was made for him. So true to his gentleman manners he waited for her to turn 18th and in hopes she would be the one, his mate.   Caden looked around and asked me if I had seen my sister. I said no I haven’t seen her since we were with our parents greeting the guest. Why do you ask? I asked him. He shows me a small box and I automatically knew and He was her mate. I almost screamed with joy but he grabbed and me and said don’t ruin this Ceci! He hurries which he fumbles the box but quickly recovered it and puts the small box into his coat pocket and I punched him. “Ouch,” what was that for!  He says. That was for not telling me you are her mate you jerk! I thought we are best friends and we tell each other everything.  I glared at him. You see, Caden turned 18th last year in October and he knew who his mate was but he felt that they should get the same chance and feeling he got when they walked into the room.  Caden, I already knew you were her mate. I stated. Wait, how did you know! Caden said. I saw quick glances here and there also the way you would ignore all the girls in school throwing themselves at you. Caden smiled. Ceci, I can’t wait til midnight and I hope she feels the same way. I smiled and said we shall see Cade. -The Mate- I groaned while my mother banged on my door telling me to hurry and get ready. We are supposed to go to one of our neighboring pack’s twin niece’s 18th birthday party. I really did care for much of those parties but seeing that my father is the Alpha of our pack this was mandatory.  My name is Alexander Mason future Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack. I am also 21 years old and still haven’t found my mate. But that never bothered me because I never wanted a mate it’s bad for my playboy imagine and what can I say I love all women.  As I got out of my bed and ran my shower I quickly looked over to see the outfit that was laid out by my mom. It’s a party not a wedding but I don’t understand why I had to wear a 3 piece suit. I turned around snapping out of my daze and hop in the shower. Soon I came out in my 3 piece navy suit with a black dress shirt to match my tie and dress shoes. I put on my black and silver with a sapphire stone watch on while walking out my room. I see my sister in the hallway. She was so adorable and very excited to go to a birthday party dressed in her fanciest gown. Hey Alli! I walked up to my sister. She looks up after brushing her dress saying “Hi Lex, Don’t you look super handsome” I smiled and gave her a grin saying “I am always super handsome. “ She laughs and grabs my arm and says “Let’s go, Mom and Dad are waiting and you know how they get with being late.” ----- Two Hours later, we finally arrived. I was bored out of my mind but all of the sudden my wolf seem to be pacing. I linked my wolf Atlas why he was pacing. Lex, I feel something coming and I don’t know if it is good or bad. Just be aware of your surroundings.  Thanks Atlas, I will.  We get out of our car and walk up and see a cascade of wisteria flowers that lead to the outdoor party. I have to admit it did look amazing. Atlas started pacing back and forth and a sweet scent hit my nose. I picked up the pace to see where it would lead me. The scent was intoxicating and the closer I got it was sweet and warm. I stopped in my tracks as I heard Atlas say “Mate” and that was it I knew my life would be over the moment we  locked eyes.  I turned around to get as far away from her but my eyes could not stop staring at the way her dress hugged her hips and her long loose black and silver curls looked amazing. I knew once she looked at me, my knees would buckle. So the only thing I could do was walk away before she even got that chance. ------ Maia my wolf was dancing in my head jumping like she just received a gift. Are you okay Maia? I linked her but was interrupted by Cade.  Its midnight; Happy birthday I have to find your sister to see if she can sense me. Cade said to me.  Okay, Good luck and if everything works out, Welcome to the family!  I gave Cade a hug and in the corner of my eye I see my sister from a distant coming straight for us. It was like tunnel vision for her and she came so fast Cade didn’t realize it till they were on the floor from the tumble. My sister never acted like that but I guess when you know you know. He laughs on the floor and tells Ava “Hello, my love you finally realized I am your mate.”  She kissed him passionately in front of everyone. Our parents were stunned but excited with the outcome. As they both stood up, Cade took one knee and quickly proposed to my sister and she quickly screamed “yes!” So I guess we will have a wedding in the near future.  ----- Love At First Sight I felt the most amazing feeling when midnight hit. I searched for, why my wolf was in my head screaming “our mate is here and we need to find mate.” I couldn’t agree with her more. I then stood up and took in a breath when it hit me like a ton of bricks. A familiar smell I knew all too well. It smelled like fresh rain with a hint of mint. I turned around and with my eyes closed and a smile I whispered “Cade.”  I always thought that Cade smelled good but I thought it was normal.  Cade has always be around us since we were born. Funny thing is that I thought his mate would be my sister. They are always together and inseparable.  The joy I felt in my heart at that moment was refreshing and filled with joy. I knew I always loved him then and now forever in the future. When I broke out of the trance I went straight toward him. I knew he knew because when I looked into his eyes it was filled with love. I didn’t even realize I jump into his arms unexpectedly but he held on to me to make sure I didn’t hurt myself in the fall. One kiss was all it took.  During the chaos, Cade pulled me up and at that moment he went down on one knee and proposed to me , it was so fast that I felt tears in my eyes and screamed “Yes “ before processing everything that just happened. The happiness died out once I looked at my sister. I felt my heartbreak and I knew she was just rejected by her mate. ----- -The Rejection- After witnessing my sister get proposed to by my best friend. A quick breeze came my way and at that moment, I felt in my heart that my mate was near. My heart became whole and the excitement I had was real. I searched for him in the mist of my sister finding her mate. Who would have thought it would happen at the same time for us, finding our mates.  Beyond the crowd I spot him but why is he walking out the door, so I began to follow him at a quick pace. I stop him before he walks outside and by doing that I grab his arm. Sparks fly through my body and my heart was filled with joy. I pull him in so he would turn around and as he did he took my breath away. Just when I was about to accept him he says out loud the words no mate wants to ever hear.  I, Alexander Mason future Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack reject you Celeste Nuray Stone as my Luna and mate.  He then pulls his arm away from me and walks out the door. ----- I felt my whole world crash as tears ran down my face. I felt a hand hold minds and when I look up I see my Uncle with red in his eyes. Through the chaos I had no idea I was standing next to him the whole time. He grabs my hand and pulls me in for a hug and says “it’s okay sweetheart and I am sorry truly sorry for what happened.” The next thing I know an angry growl that shook the room stop everyone dead in their tracks. My uncle was furious and I did not know what to do. He was always protective of us and seeing us hurt makes his wolf angrier than ever. -----   -Anger Within- I watch as my Uncle shift into his wolf Onyx and came charging at my ex-mate unaware of what will happen to him. My dad realizing his brother shift into Link runs towards him before anything else goes wrong. He mind link my uncle what happen but what caught him off guard was the fact it had involved me being rejected by my own mate. Now we have two angry wolfs which gets worst since it’s an Alpha and a Beta running towards him. My mom quickly grabs my dad so swiftly that you would think they were dancing. She holds him down while in human form whispering in his ear to comeback and please calm down. A few moments later, as my dad shifts back he gives me a sorrowful look. Meanwhile Our Alpha was so fast he shifted back into his human form and is now holding my ex mate by his throat in front of everyone. His father quickly runs and tells our Alpha to remain calm and wants to know what he is doing holding his son in such manner. Alpha Gab then says “This worthless piece of s**t wolf just rejected my niece, here at her own birthday party.” As the crowd looks on shocked, I touch my Uncle by the shoulder and with my head high I said “its okay uncle let him go, clearly he does not want me and I will accept his rejection so please just let it be.” My uncle tosses him to the wall leaving him unconscious and before the night ends my uncle says “EVERYONE GET OUT and for you Alpha Leland if anyone from your pack comes and steps foot on my land I will not hesitate to kill them. All of our agreements are now null and voided. You all have one hour to clear my lands and take your piece of s**t son out of my face before I kill him. You have no business being here anymore.  By the way Alpha, he should know that my niece is the reason he still breaths because if it weren’t for her polite yet merciful heart I would have already snap his neck.”  I ran into my room and just laid my head on my pillow and let the anger within take me away until the darkness was all I saw. -----
